Guys before everyone starts blasting me let me explain. The reason for our poor starts and mediocrity is very simple....NO Stability. Let's go back to 2009 when Raheem Morris was hired and Jon Gruden was fired, (not to mention probably the worst mistake in amongst this franchises history) I could understand starting fresh after Gruden but promoting a guy like Raheem was ignorant and he was way in over his head. Proof in three years Raheem/Dominik drafted 23 players all that is left is McCoy, Clayborn, Bowers, Foster and Stocker. Gruden didn't have the best drafts either but when teams don't draft well there is no depth on a roster. Raheem wasn't ready for the gig hence he is still only a defensive backs coach. Now, to Schiano which I will catch some heat for but please hear me out. I for one was one of the only few that said Schiano needed 3 years and any coach I feel needs 3 years to totally implement their styles and critique the roster. Last year was a crazy year, there has never been a season like that in which everything seems to go wrong. First Freeman and boy thank god Schiano was smart in informing Dominik about his habits, just think if we would have signed him to a massive contract extension talk about handcuffed. Freeman let all of us down including Schiano, you could easily say that he was part of the reason why Schiano was let go. People can say all they want about Schiano the guy wasn't given the amount of time to succeed and I thought it was shameful for firing him. He deserved one more year to see if he could right the ship and believe me, I have no doubt that there would have been changes to the roster but I firmly believe that he could have gotten us turned around. Now to Lovie, whom I have always loved and admired as a man and a football coach. I told my friend yesterday that I had predicted this team will finish 5-11 before the season even started and here is why: There is NO reason for starting McCown, I'm sorry but there is not. There is a reason why every announcer makes the comment he has been a Career back-up. He has single handily for a 37 old vet made some stupid ass decisions with the ball. How in the world could you have 1st and goal and scramble throw a pick right to the defender? Austin Davis made him look sick yesterday and I will get to that in a minute. The more McCown starts the more the losses mount. I also stated yesterday that Lovie always plays not to lose a football and he deserved to lose yesterday, his time management and conservative play calling deserved to lose. And folks quit with the 10 second runoff rule complaining, the game never should have come down to that. McCown's INT and Lovie's time management were the reason for the loss. Lovie didn't deserve to win yesterday, let me ask you all this question. 1:40 to go before half Lovie decided to play conservative no use 1 timeout to get our offense a chance to score before halftime, or when we had the ball in the 3rd quarter and ran the ball three straight times before getting the field goal blocked. Does that sound like confidence in your Veteran Quarterback. Lovie better do some soul-searching and figure out which way he wants to go but my hope is that Glennon gets the rains sooner than later. All of this could have been avoided though if the Glazers hadn't experimented with Raheem, and didn't show Schiano out after two seasons because these poor players have been through so many changes its hard to start with stability. All we can hope for is this team finds some luck on the way to Atlanta Thursday.
