We heard all offseason about how Bowles Exotic Blitz Packages would create sacks from so many places that we wouldn't necessarily need them from the line. Other than the EDGE players (Nassib and Barret) I don't think we have any sacks from LBs or DBs...
6 games in, I would have expected more. It seems our blitzes often feature guys getting caught up in the wash, rather than getting a free run to the QB. It may rush the occasional throw, but it really hasn't seemed that effective. Can it all be due to poor coverage, or are the blitzers just not doing a great job?
Many on here predicted 6-8 sack seasons for LVD and White, and while that seemed like wishful thinking, here we are 6 games in and the MLBs have exactly 0 as a unit. I know sacks aren't necessarily the end all be all, but what am I missing here? I want to see these guys getting home, at least every now and then.
