976A6B5D-Af07-4560-8De3-De58Ccbc9C32_Zps282C3B96.GifNew England Patriots sold out of LeGarrette Blount jerseysBy Bryan Rose - Jan 15th, 2014 at 3:25 pmBlount_Zps82Ec242B.jpgJan 11, 2014; Foxborough, MANew England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount (29) runs against the Indianapolis Colts in the second half during the 2013 AFC divisional playoff football game at Gillette Stadium. Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports I’d venture to guess that prior to the postseason, the New England Patriots weren’t exactly moving LeGarrette Blount jerseys. If anything, fans likely were buying them just to have ‘blount’ on the back of an NFL jersey. But the sales were likely few and far between. No more – not after Blount’s impressive four touchdown performance against the Indianapolis Colts. Of course, this isn’t anything we haven’t seen before. On a nearly year basis, there seemingly is one player who emerges from no place to become a postseason star. A few years ago it was Darren Sproles, then a member of the San Diego Chargers. Now it’s Blount, who has eight touchdown’s in his last three games. The Patriots were BLINDSIDED by LeGarrette Blount‘s sudden rise to superstardom — at least the official team shop was, ’cause they’re all SOLD OUT of his jerseys … and now the team is scrambling to crank out #29s before the next playoff game. Not only were the Patriots not likely selling Blount jerseys very often – there simply weren’t many made, so there’s been an understandable mad rush to get them printed up soon as possible. http://fansided.com/2014/01/15/new-england-patriots-sold-legarrette-blount-jerseys/ Aqib Talib tells Marquice Cole to 'cash that check, baby'Blount9_Zpsc8D593Db.jpg (Foxboro, MA, 01/08/14) Aqib Talib warms up for Patriots practice. Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Staff photo by John Wilcox. .Wednesday, January 15, 2014Jeff Howe / Boston Herald Cornerback Marquice Cole had 42,000 reasons to join the Broncos this week, and his former teammate, Aqib Talib, was proud of him for earning the paycheck."That’s my dog, man," Talib said. "Good luck, Quice. Cash that check, baby. Get that check, baby. Got to pay the bills, man."The Patriots released Cole four times this season, most recently Dec. 26, but it seemed like a reunion would be in order because his locker remained intact Monday. Of course, that's not always a perfect indicator of anything, but players don't keep their lockers for nearly three weeks for no reason.Anyway, the Broncos signed him yesterday, so he'll get the same $42,000 check that all conference finalists receive. And if the Broncos win and keep Cole around, he'll earn either $92,000 for winning the Super Bowl or $46,000 for losing it.As for the notion Cole could share useful information, well, this logic was shot down last week with Deion Branch and the Colts."Quice can’t tell Peyton Manning nothing that Peyton Manning doesn’t already know about us," Talib said.

We are not really hurting at RB though.I'd still take Doug Martin over Blount.

Some coaches just can't get through to players.Schiano was one of those coaches. Point blank Bellicheat got him straight and Schiano could not.I would not be surprised to see Bowers get double digit sacks with new coaches.

Did Morris ever hold him accountable?  Did Schiano give him a fair chance?

This is no different than the corporate culture.  If it is a professional one where individuals are held accountable and made to get better or shown the door...then they usually adapt.  When the culture is lackadaisical and without structure...the inmates either run the asylum or just plain give up.  We used to have this in Tampa, and hopefully we have the guy now who will bring that back.

Well we still blame the Bucs because part of coaching is getting guys to do what you tell them to do. Every coach I had told us basically the same crap. Good ones actually got guys to do it.

Yeah in a world where your "grown men" are guys like Blount I'm not sure "grown men" means what you say. Plus, someone did get through to him so there is a difference. There should not be but then again it exasperated me to watch guys at lower levels make the same mistakes over and over despite being told.

Schiano sent Freeman the same place he ended up.....the gutter. The only difference is Freeman still has a job in the league and continues to have a shot at staying in the league as a backup where Schiano will remain unemployed. Damn that truth!

You know, I understand the need for us to rid ourselves of these guys. I get the trades and really I dont really believe they were bad moves. It really makes you stop and think though. These guys are pretty much the corner stones for this years New England Patriots super bowl run. I am not sure how to look at this. Is it an indictment on our previous coaching staffs? Why can we never seem to maximize a players potential? Is the the idea of a winning franchise? Is it Tom Brady or Bellicheat? I dunno. Really makes me scratch my head though.

There's room for both of them
