You know, I understand the need for us to rid ourselves of these guys. I get the trades and really I dont really believe they were bad moves. It really makes you stop and think though. These guys are pretty much the corner stones for this years New England Patriots super bowl run. I am not sure how to look at this. Is it an indictment on our previous coaching staffs? Why can we never seem to maximize a players potential? Is the the idea of a winning franchise? Is it Tom Brady or Bellicheat? I dunno. Really makes me scratch my head though.

Who would want to play for a losing team or Schiano? Their entire attitude changed once they got here. When people are here in NE they know they'll be making the playoffs so there is a reason to play harder. Someday I hope Tampa has that same bravado.

Well we still blame the Bucs because part of coaching is getting guys to do what you tell them to do. Every coach I had told us basically the same crap. Good ones actually got guys to do it.

That's B$.  These are grown men.  Professionals supposedly.

Yeah in a world where your "grown men" are guys like Blount I'm not sure "grown men" means what you say. Plus, someone did get through to him so there is a difference. There should not be but then again it exasperated me to watch guys at lower levels make the same mistakes over and over despite being told.

From his quotes it sounds like he made a decision to start listening to coaches.  I'm sure schiano isn't the only one he is referring to when he says he hadn't listened to coaches in the past.

Well you can either go 4-12 every other year and blame the players for not listening to the coaches or you can get a coach who the players will listen to and win. Your choice.

Grown man or not, this is a job where you have a boss. And when your boss is a jerk it's unlikely that the average person wants to work hard for them. Players LIKE Belicheat, so they'll go that extra mile for him.I'm sure many of us have had a job where there were multiple managers or asst managers above us. Why put in effort for Jeremy? He's a jerk. But David? David's friggen awesome, of course I'll stay 30 minutes late to help him out.

Corner stones?  Not even close.  They are now on a very talented team with great veteran leadership as opposed to being the guys that are supposed to be leading the team as they were here.

Depends who you talk too on that. Pat's fans here can't stop talking about Blount and Talib. They are right there with Brady. I get thanked for my team letting those guys go to the Pat's all the time. It's not easy being a Buc's fan in Pat's country.

Funny thing is Talib was who he was here in the last game. He played well but got lit for a long TD pass and gave up some more bigger plays. He's on a team with a name so people I guess are overlooking what he is. Truthfully Blount was pretty much the same guy, big back who has a lot of long runs.

That's all true except, players don't like Belichick.  They respect him.  I'm not saying none of them like him, I'm sure some do; but he's not a "players coach".  He's basically Schiano with the resume to back it up.  Or, more accurately, Schiano is Belichick without the cred.  Players go the extra mile for BB because everyone wants to be a winner and they know that if they follow him they will win.  Nobody says Bill's friggen awesome.

Here's the thing about bashing Schiano, for not getting through to Blount - and I'm not here to be an apologist for the guy:The original article for this news indicated that it wasn't just Schiano, but coaches "for years" have been telling him this. So yeah, bash Schiano (and Raheem), and praise Belichick because they are the HCs. But here's the thing - Chip Kelly was one of those coaches. Jeff Fisher was one of those coaches. Ernest F----ing Byner was his running back coach.  So was it a problem with Schiano, or a problem with Blount? If you ask me, Blount's listening skills improved because his $1.75 million salary with the Bucs got chopped to the vet minimum in a take it or leave it situation. Funny how that can change behavior. I'd also point out that dalbuc is exactly right - Blount is exactly the same guy. I read that they ran the ball in all but 4 of his 28 snaps - nobody trusts Blount to keep Brady upright.  Look, I love watching him play - there's sheer joy out of watching a big back run like that, but the reality is he had huge holes. And I wish he would have worked out. But none of his short-yardage TDs were as impressive as Ridley's efforts, and here's what his big run looked like at the line of scrimmage: Bd U3Iacyae3Ctk

So every coach he has ever had is a jerk?    Is Byner a jerk too?    David didn't seem unable to perform.  VJ either.  Martin was fine.  That is such a cop out.  He said he should have listened to his coaches.  Did players like Belicheat in Cleveland or did they just start liking him in NE and especially when Brady became the QB?

No knowledgable fan is calling BLount or Talib the corner stone of that team.  Get rid of Blount and another RB steps up.    Get rid of Talib and there are plenty of guys on that defense to step up.    Get rid of Brady and you go on vacation/get ready for 2014.  Blount and Talib are not the leaders on that team, just pieces that help an already great team.
