If the outcome goes the other way, I'd hate to say it but I'd have to blame the kicker.
He has been so good and reliable and then . . missed extra point.
Its why they play the games, so the saying goes.
Very true. Didn't realize it was that many seconds but good observation. Definitely have to get those time outs in faster.Another thing was the use of time-outs I think whoever helping him did a good job.
The only thing I noticed on the timeouts was one of them took too long to call. Seven seconds ticked off the clock before Bowles called the TO. Not sure if that was function of him hesitating and being indecisive or just the logistics of the new guy helping not being as efficient as it should be.
It ended up not mattering, but it could have.
Was impressed he didn't punt on that 4th down play.
Ironically, according to ESPNAnalytics Morris was more conservative than Bowles, even though Morris is sort of viewed as an aggressive, go for it on 4th coach.

Probably says something about the limitations of "analytics."
I thought Bowles made the right choice on our choice
I'd consider this game a step in the right direction for Bowles because:
1.) he was more aggressive
2.) he used time outs
3.) outside of the putrid first drive and the last two drives I thought the defense played extremely well despite Dennis whiffing 4 of 5 times
4.) team stayed calm and focused despite a slow start
So kudos to Bowles in that regard but I swear to God every fucking game he does something bonehead like the time out on the catch to Tez or waiting 7 seconds to call a time out.
the time out on the catch to Tez or waiting 7 seconds to call a time out.
Just curious about these two.
The throw to Tez was a no catch getting overturned, right? It was a tie game 3rd quarter and something like 2nd and 8 so the quick snap was not the right move even though they started with that. The goal is best chance to make the 1st down so regroup etc?
Is this also the "7 second" timeout?
