The Falcons game probably sealed his fate if they end up letting him go, but this game is a "must win" for playoff hopes AND with several key players sidelined.
So, does the team respond or do they collapse?
Interesting matchup of Canales/Mayfield against a new look Gus Bradley defense
I can see the growth and progression of canales as a play caller but his best game was 100% the saints game, he needs to go rewatch that game over and over and over and go about his flow and his play calling cause he left the saints bewildered and was unpredictable of where he was going to attack and to add some of that flow into it.
Bowles will most likely stay another year unless he loses the team, but the way the team still think they could have beaten 49ers and the way they support him with shirts means he hasn't lost em. What we need to do is continue to do what we do well, those aiyuks TD's happen but you expect them to happen less than more, so continue to not be scared and attack, impose your will on teams, instead of reacting. What we need guys now to do is perform, step up and make that playoff push. PS We need to draft a #1 corner this team would do so well with a pat p they had in AZ
believe it or not, not a must win but certainly would go a long way to them making the playoffs and for this teams confidence.
i mean because honestly if you cant beat the Gardner Minshew led Colts, what will give you any confidence they can beat the Panthers on the road in the final week?
the Bucs win and i am on the playoffs bandwagon. They lose, yeah, 7 wins max for this team.
He should be fired for not challenging the evans catch
You don't have to win all the winnable games, but you have to win some of them. The Bucs lost to the Texans, the Falcons, and now they are losing to the Colts. Those were games against supposedly average teams. You have to beat the average teams, or you're below average, or to put it another way you suck. The Bucs haven't beaten anybody The Colts are the definition of average. So yes this is a must win game. Lose and it's basically mathematical from here, and yes Bowles is done.
Earlier in the game, Bowles looked frustrated. At the end of the game he looked sad. I think he knows this was a must win game for his job.

i hope your right. Will they fire him tomorrow?
This was not a team scrapping for its playoff life
I don't think so, but if you are going to fire him midseason do it now while you still have a chance if you run off five of the remaining six games. That's not going to happen, but that's why you fire someone in midseason. If you don't think you have a chance then why bother firing him? I think they'll wait until the end, but he's a dead man walking right now.Earlier in the game, Bowles looked frustrated. At the end of the game he looked sad. I think a firing could spark the team.
what have you got to lose?

How many times have the Glazers fire a coach during the season?
Should have never been given the chance to be a head coach again. Another massive mistake by the glazers/licht
