I am going to withhold judgement until the Bucs start beating teams with winning records who have beaten teams with winning records.

Geez are we moving the goalposts a bit?  At the start of the year we were just hoping to be competitive and go 9-8 or even something crazy like 10-7.  Now we have to be Superbowl contenders?

If they beat the Lions they will be, because they beat the Chiefs.

I just wish he wouldn't make that weird face he makes whenever a bad play happens. It's like he's saying to himself "Golly, i was sure that would work!"

But I guess all coaches do that.

...WAIT A SECOND, I'M ALIVE! Long time no see, fellas! :)

PR breaks open the SECRET . .  that everyone knew:

"The sneaky secret about the Bucs’ 2023 season is the fact that this is a developmental year. Tampa Bay is trying to three-peat as NFC South champions along the way, but due to salary cap constraints, the Bucs were on a budget this year and were forced to play – and start – a lot of young players from the last three draft classes."

One reason why Bowles seat at the end of last year was NOT as hot as some suggested.  He might still get kicked to the curb -- its a long season - but so far he's shown his coaches can develop players, the players buy in etc.  The team is over-performing its current talent, for now.

Agree that once that final cutdown included all those rookies you had to figure Bowles and Licht and not to mention Canales were on the same page and why wouldn't they be?  Even with the cap constraints Licht could have gone fishing for low budget veteran journeymen to help Bowles and put a couple more rookies on the practice squad.  They made zero moves after cutdown day to pick up players cut loose from other teams.  David Moore is still sitting on the practice squad, a guy who's familiar with Canales and seemed to do well in training camp.  But instead they keep a UDFA Rakim Jarrett?  Jarrett has two targets so far.  I'm pretty sure Warren would have many more than two targets right now.

I respectfully disagree. The cupboard is not bare, The qb is not a rookie but a former #1 pick. I know he has a rough history but honestly you guys know what he went through with the browns and the injury. We have the best tackle in the game.the defense brings back almost all the major starters from a super bowl team. We actually have some juice from rookies that is translating well. We have another #1 pick on kancey that has played 11 snaps and from that very small window we saw a glimmer of possibilities. Sorry I am really high on kancey. Canales is not some young college coordinator trying to move up to nfl ranks. He should already have had an oc job.improved our kicking game by a mile.

I look around the league and i am not impressed outside of the top 5. Of course, it's a long season and crap happens. But thats the case for everyone else. Look at the super bowl run, we were remarkably healthy going against other teams that had hit the injury bug at the wrong time.

Our division is weak. We should sweep. Everyone is talking about how we played 3 bad teams so far. Yes we did and we won. That's what good teams do. We relied on our talent playing pretty disciplined football. Everyone noted how the offense barely played together in the preseason. Real easy to say that is the reason we could have lost those games. But we didn't and we are only going to get better.

I may have the timing wrong but if Canales is first (I think so) he’s probably why we decide to get Mayfield. Hard to imagine Bowles on his own wanting Mayfield but with Canales on board Mayfield is a perfect fit for the easy, distributor offense with past experience  in the system

Just saying the team is well coached.

When you're right, you're right. And that Todd Bowles sure does more with less. Not less than the Falcons or Texans, but less.  Nice thread, fuckstick.

Now dance.

lmao.  Bowles has never been a good head coach

he is a good defensive coordinator and looks like trying to call plays and be head coach doesnt go well with him; he ends up sticking at both

he is a defensive coordinator and should stay there.  will be good for a team next year

So Buggys let me show you something.  This post above ^^^^ is your regular thing, going back in time and calling up something that someone else posted that YOU PERCEIVE TO BE WRONG.

It is your routine, most common post.  . .  the BUMP POST.  Its the core of who you are as a poster.

THIS is what happens when you are given even a TINY  .. .  tiny . . dose of your own medicine.  This is HOW YOU RESPOND:

If the point of this is to highlight how little you know and/or how big of a pussy you are, we are in agreement. Otherwise, try attacking the task at hand.

Don't worry. Everybody here knows you don’t have chops to back up your stance that Atlanta, Houston, and now Indy is the better, more talented team. You simply don’t have the required football acumen to complete the task or the required shame to admit it. Instead, you shamelessly bump your ignorance and cowardice.

Between all the spitting, profane rage (lmao) you even threw in a completely bogus strawman:

and you call other people loons?
