I think that is the reality of the situation because another 8 or 9 win campaign will mean he has hit his ceiling as a HC.
yeah if we dont finish 10-7 where we will be at least touchdown favorites in back to back home games, could spell trouble for Bowles job security.
sucks we need to have Falcons lose a game in final 2 weeks. We are no longer in control; and with Commanders coming back to beat Eagles; it's division or out really
The fact that some are still advocating for this clown to keep his job is more embarrassing than the game last night.
If he didn't call that time out at the end of the first half... That's the game

dont think many wanted Bowles at head coach to begin with
if Bucs go 10-7, miss playoffs, do you think Bowles keeps his job? Not...what you want to happen but living in the real world...what happens?

No, I don’t, nor do I think he should. That’s real world, kiddo.
Now, you answer the question.

Honestly, i think Bowles is safe at 9-8 or 10-7.
if he loses out and we finish 8-9, i do think them losing 3 in a row in games they were all favored in, would mean they replace him with Coen.

So, you think if he misses the playoffs, he’s safe?
Interesting.
I do not. I’m no longer even sure if getting into the playoffs will be enough.Honestly, i think Bowles is safe at 9-8 or 10-7.

@badabingbucs - the key point we can’t forget about is “can we keep Coen as OC?” Without him we have 4 or 5 wins this year. Without him next year what does this look like? Not very good.
Bowles is 2 for 2 for bringing in competent OCs so he has that going for him. The problem is that while the roster is clearly a .500 ball club in terms of talent and injuries you still have 2 winnable games up ahead.
I think Bowles is only safe with 10 wins. Playoffs is just a bonus.
We need an inside receiver to help Mike make the vertical game work. Without Chris - or Cade Otton, it doesn’t work. Dallas could and did double Mike and made us use JMac as the vertical option, while I think the intelligence is there, he’s just not up to the task, physically.
While it looks good to think you could move on from Bowles, plug in Coen and a hit new DC, it’s actually not that easy. It requires personnel changes. Even if you go heavy defense in the draft, without free agents - and well still be somewhat limited & it will be a competitive market - so you’re left to relying on rookies on the field, and the sidelines. Transitions = losses.
@donkey_hunter that’s because there are a lot of fans happy with being average. 9 wins in another division and you don’t sniff the playoffs . He over all head coaching record speaks for it self . He is always being carried .

given where this franchise was the 10 years preceding Brady, if not for the Brady years, we would likely be building a statue of Bowles outside of Raymond James.
i kid kid...clearly being Facetious but the Bucs history is not great. McKay, Dungy, Gruden, Arians. I mean shit, he's a top 5 head coach for us.
I am not a fan of Bowles but with the dead cap space and lack of talent infusion (i.e. for the last 2 years, we basically just signed our own guys), what more do you expect of a .500 roster?
If Bowles is fired, i wouldn't lose any sleep, i just can't imagine the Glazers doing it at 10-7. 9-8...ehhh maybe but i doubt it
8-9? considering we were 8-6 at one point. Yes, i could see it.

You don’t see what you think you see, you see what you want to see.
Come hard, or stay in the shadows.
