17 point lead and he goes soft defense and doesn't protect the sideline. Offense had to win the game twice.
Endless penalties, awful special teams, no killer instinct.
I'm trying to recall the last time the defense played its best when it mattered most... The Lions game last year comes to mind but outside of that the past 4 years I cannot recall ever seeing the defense come up big when it matters most.
Bowles played to not lose and almost cost us the game. Brutal to watch him pull this shit late in games over and over.
Now you know why the Bucs FO burned a first round pick on EE. This team lives or dies with offense. Nothing new under the sun but I have to give credit for the defense looking stout for three quarters the last three games.
The play calling on defense in the fourth quarter of each of the last three games has been...very interesting to say the least lol.
Creamsicle curse today. We manage to outlast the wrath of the football gods
but it’s not pretty, they are taking casualties each and every week
here’s hoping none of the injuries today are long lasting
not sure what happened with the defense today but all in all they have kept us in games with no offensive line and a step back currently with the offense ravaged by injuries
keeping the game to one possession for our MVP to lead game winning drives
Our pass rush was completely non existent on those 2 fourth quarter drives by the Jets. Every one on our defensive line was walking around out there with zero energy. It was disgusting and almost cost us the game. Piss poor effort by those guys.
Hate to say this but re-watch the Jets 1st 4th quarter drive and focus on LVD. He's beaten multiple times and mostly just jogging out there
I'm mostly mad that we didn't protect the sidelines if we are gonna play bracket coverage

Everyone seemed gassed but we had a 2nd and 18 and gave up a crossing pattern for an easy first down pickup and he got out of bounds. Corners and players were loafing
It is early in the season so I don't expect peak conditioning for the defense but it wasn't that hot by Tampa Bay standards. I think the defense has a little more pep in their step next week against the Eagles. Just a guess.

Are you surprised though?

Honestly yes. He's a defensive head coach and the clock was our friend. That last TD drive almost every play they managed to get out of bounds.
Really bad situational football. Luckily Baker and the offense were there yet again to bail out the blunders.
Corners and players were loafing
Thats what it looked like to me and thats on the coaches to correct.
Really bad situational football.
Again, are you surprised?
Didn't watch the presser. Did he blame it on "communication", per usual?

Mentioned it in another thread, but found it hilarious at halftime when Todd mentioned to the reporter that he wanted to see the team "close it out/don't let up" mentality.
Lol!
Corners were loafing? How about the pass rushers. Corners can’t cover for 0:10+ seconds every snap. Taylor had all day in the pocket that last quarter.

Do as I say not as I do
