Lolz at the best division in football. It’s the NFL. All the teams are good.

Stack the two divisions and rank them:
Vikings
Lions
Bucs
Packers
Falcons
Bears
Panthers
Saints
And I could easily make the argument that Packers and Bucs are even and/or Bears and Falcons are even.
NFCNorth in 2024: 45-23, or .662 winning percentage
NFCSouth in 2024: 28-40, or .411 winning percentage
This isn’t even worth any debate.
If Campbell has two experienced coordinators, then I'd take Campbell. Sure he's a motivator and the players love him, but he's never been a coordinator on either side of the ball. He now has to train two new coaches promoted from within who also have never been coordinators. You have a veteran team looking to make a Superbowl run and nobody has been a coordinator before. We'll see how that works out.I'd rather have Bowles over Campbell.
Smh...
Campbell is going against 3 good teams. Bowles is going against 3 shit teams.
I'm blown away by these takes.
Bowles is the DC as well as the HC. We don't have to worry about the defense regarding that respect at least. His last two OCs have been hired as HCs. So the Bucs can be much more confident in their coaching staff than the Lions IMO. That's the context in which I say I'd rather have Bowles.
We don't have to worry about the defense regarding that respect at least.
We very much have to worry about his defense, despite all of his experience.
Do you think that's because of the defensive system and how Bowles coaches it or because of personnel? I think most people would agree that Bowles knows how to put together a good defense. If you don't think so, then I guess we disagree. We don't have to worry about the defense regarding that respect at least.

there are many pundits that would list the 4 NFC North teams ahead of the Bucs and the Bucs would be the first NFC South team
i'd say the Vikings take a step back and me being a homer would rank em like this for 2025
1. Lions
2. Bucs
3. Packers
4. Vikings
5. Bears
6. Falcons
7. Panthers
8. Saints

So why is Tampa’s winning percentage better against the NFC North in the last couple of years than it is vs the NFC South???
Obviously the North is a better division but, to intimate that Tampa is only successful because they are in a dipshit division is pretty glib analysis. Tampa wins regardless of the division they play in.

so we had our best defensive game of the season against the Lions last year and that was impressive. ill give you that
We play a Monday night game at Detroit in week 7. Not only will we not be favored in that game but i'm almost guaranteeing that as a loss. I mean you are talking about a team that can't beat the Cowboys backups in prime time.
what we did in 2023 is apples and bowling balls. The Vikings and Bears will have two different QBs from that time period. I'd argue the Vikings will be worse and Bears much better. WE did own the Packers as i think we are a better team and Lions owned us twice (that 4th quarter playoff collaspe was telling)
so kind of goes with what i am saying that Lions are better than us....but we are better than everyone else
that being said...not sure we would go 4-2 in that division if you replaced us with say the Bears or Vikings. Likely looking at 3-3 at best

Tampa has as much talent on both sides of the ball as any team not named Philly. Not sure that can be debated. And I like our QB and WR room better than theirs. RB room may be a draw.
I think Tampa gets to the super bowl this year if we stay healthy. The Lions very well may beat us on the road in prime time. Not saying they will but they certainly should be favored.
Tampa will be underdogs in exactly 4 games this season. I thought we would be underdogs vs the Falcons on the road but we are 4.5 point favorites (head scratcher). We will be small underdogs to the Lions, Bills, and Rams, all on the road. As of now we are a 2.5 underdog to Philly at home, which should change by game time. We keep Philly in a box.

I understand that but at the same time Campbell has an extensive tree of contacts to land the coaches he wants because of his resume and as an ex player.
So we shall see.

Super Bowl?! There is nobody that hopes you are right more than me!
I think for that to happen, not only will the offense have to be top 5 again which is possible, but the defense will have to vastly improve to a top 10 unit.
And for that to happen, need to see AWJ rebound, the rookie DBs step up, the pass rush go to another level meaning reddick is the guy we thought he was and not jets version and diaby takes next step forward
the NFC is not strong so we certainly can be the best team but to this point under Bowles/mayfield era, we have underperformed in prime time games and had mid season collapses.
would like to see us perform to your expectations and win atleast 11

Another misnomer is the NFC isn't strong. Like how can anyone say that with a straight face. I'll give you the poster QBs are in the AFC in Mahomes, Burrow, and Allen but pound for pound, the NFC is every bit as strong as the AFC. In fact, they just won the SB again. Team for team the NFC may actually be stronger. Don't get lost in what other people are telling you. Look for yourself.
The AFC includes the unanimous top 4 QBs in the league - Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, and Burrow. This is a QB driven league.
So let's put it in tiers:
AFC
Perennial Super Bowl Contenders - 3 - Chiefs, Ravens, Bills
Potentially Good Teams but likely not Super bowl Caliber-5 - Bengals, Steelers, Texans, Chargers, Broncos
Mediocre teams, maybe playoff caliber -3- Dolphins, Colts, Jaguars
Shit teams - 5 - Jets, Patriots, Raiders, Browns, and Titans
NFC
Perennial Super Bowl Contenders - 2 - Eagles, Lions
Potentially Good Team but likely not Super Bowl Caliber - 6 - 49ers, Rams, Bucs, Packers, Commanders, Cowboys
(not ready to write off 49ers until they show that 2024 is the new norm. They can easily be in tier 1 or fall to mediocre tier this year. Cowboys are another team that would need to see that 2024 is the new norm but given their QB is a loser they will never be higher than this tier)
Mediocre teams, maybe playoff caliber - 5- Seahawks, Vikings, Bears, Falcons, Cardinals
Shit teams -3- Giants, Panthers, Saints
so it looks like there is more average/above average squads in the NFC with nearly 11 teams versus AFC 8.....which means more parity, but doesnt help your case that 2 out of the 3 absolute shit teams fall in the NFC South.
It's the NFL. All teams are good. Even the Panthers, Saints, Cardinals, Giants Colts, Titans, Jags, and Raiders.
