If we let Bowles get loose, you can flush next season down the toilet.
The Bucs are rebuilding the defense to fit his specifications. If the system changes, it takes a whole year to sort it all out and in the meantime your defense sucks. Some guys fit into the new format, some don't, and it takes awhile for everybody to get on board. Things are starting to click, but what is the status of Bowles? Questions...
What is Bowles's contract?
Whatever it is, you can't prevent a DC from taking a HC job. Did Bowles make any handshake deals with Arians that he would stick around for X amount of years?
Bowles was head coach for four years. Does he have the itch to be a head coach again, or has he had enough of it? Does he consider himself a DC? or a HC who is just on hiatus until the next opportunity?
Is Bowles an attractive candidate?
There will be openings in ATL, JAX, MIA, CLE, NYG where they could be looking for an experienced HC. No one seems to be too concerned about it. Should we be?
