WR Prospect: Brandin Cooks
Oregon State WR Brandin Cooks is 5'10" 190lbs. Same size as Steve Smith and play just like him. He is lightning fast and tough as nails. If he was a few inches taller he would be a top 10 pick. He'll likley still go in the first round despite his size and he should. However, if he makes it to the 2nd round he really needs to be our pick. This guy is special. He has a good 2012 with 1150 yards receiving and 5 TDs, but he absolutely blew up in 2013 with 128 receptions for over 1700 receiving yards and 16 TD catches. He also average 6.8 yards per carry and had two TDs on 32 rushing attempts. At the combine he backed it all up. He ran a 4.33 forty. His 3 cone time was top 10 for all WRs since 2006. And biggest of all, he now holds the record in the 20 & 60 yard shuttle for all combine participants since 2006. This guy is lightning. Physically he is shorter than average, but not undersized. He is built very solid, has long arms for his height and his mitts are almost 10". He has natural hands and plucks most balls away from his body. He is a nightmare to cover and a nightmare after the catch. He doesn't fumble. He run blocks well and plays nasty despite his size. Has been exceptionally durable dating back to high school. Team captain. Will be a 21-year-old rookie.Career Highlights - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjNHpFNA6J0 Every touch from 8 games - http://draftbreakdown.com/players/brandin-cooks/
