According to PFF the Packers yesterday had the worst coverage grade since 2018. Basically, everybody was wide open.

in rolls the discounting . .. . . "Trask couldve done it."

Mayfield completed a number of key passes into tight windows.  The Moore touchdown is an easy example. Mayfield even talked about that throw from the podium. This is PR's recap:

"Baker Mayfield was dealing throughout the game. He mixed several impressive tight window throws over the middle of the field to receiver Chris Godwin and tight end Cade Otton with correctly identifying wide open options all over the field as he executed offensive coordinator Dave Canales’ offense to a plomb."

I mean, obviously the game plan destroyed the Packers zone defense, but man give mayfield some credit?

He made the throws. But his game yesterday was no different than what we all watched when we had really bad defenses and would get cut to shreds by every QB with a pulse.

If you go back and look you will see that was about Carroll and I say SPECIFICALLY that Canales will be MORE RUN-ORIENTED than 2022 (Waldron) and . . .  HE IS

Actually, what you repeatedly said was Canales was going to be like Carroll, i.e. "run first", "run oriented", "run, run, pass" - none of which has come to fruition with Tampa throwing the ball 468 times and running it 359 times.

Now to address the newest moving of goalposts, that Canales is "MORE RUN-ORIENTED than 2022 (Waldron) and . . .  HE IS" nonsense:

2022 Seattle Offense: 23rd in Rushing attempts

2023 Tampa Offense: 23rd in Rushing attempts

&

2022 Seattle:  1 run for every 1.3 passes

2023 Tampa:  1 run for every 1.3 passes

Anybody with the tiniest lick of football acumen can look at those facts and say Canales is more like 2022 Waldron than 2013 Pete Carroll.  But you are you, which is to say shamelessly clueless.

You'll need to move those goalposts again, dipshit. You've been taking it up the corncob for 10 months, all because you were foolish enough to think Seattle's offense was stuck in 2013. You've never let the yoke of shame stop you before, and obviously that isn't changing anytime soon.

Buggsy, I am happy with my posts here on this topic and what's the point, right?  You're actually posting this lie in a thread where you already lied once, right?

This is your basic trolling MO.  I even called it above and you gladly (and almost immediately lol) obliged.

There's not a single football thing that you post that you would ever stand behind. Your only point is to troll

And yet the most caustic posters will avoid this thread because they are also the most serious about their own football takes.

My point the entire time has been this team isn’t doing squat in the playoffs, if they get to the playoffs

Buggsy, you stand by this  ^^^ post yesterday?

Or, are you doing EXACTLY what I said you would do, as one of the most caustic posters?

I will at least give you credit for being consistent.  You're treating Mayfield now like you treat Licht lol.

I am not sure why hardcore football fans (and former big $ GMs) seem to think that they have to die on hills all the time.  Mayfield played great.  Its okay to be a trask homer and still acknowledge that mayfield played great YESTERDAY.  He may play poorly next game.  As Buggsy has correctly posted he's been very inconsistent, but man give the guy his due for yesterday

I said he made the throws. It's just interesting how Bucs fans sat through a literal decade of bad DBs and bad DCs getting lit up pretty much every week, didn't matter who the QB was (I have examples ready to go) but now when our middle of the road QB cooks a secondary full of no names and a DC about to get fired it's "see see he's really good".

If anything most people seem to be saying he played great, but he's been inconsistent so what next?

In this specific thread, I was joking about the many calls to go woith Trask and saying that many people who made those calls would not own them now. I even described he way, accurately as one poster in particular demonstrated lol.

By the way, on "i said he made the throws" this is what you actually said:

According to PFF the Packers yesterday had the worst coverage grade since 2018. Basically, everybody was wide open.

you tried to diminish his performance

and even now its "cooks a secondary full of no names"

you should embrace it
