Math must be hard for you.
This is 21 on the low end.
Actually, bro, it seems that math is hard for you.
Based on your own post:
I want to see White target 5 times in the passing game, 2 of which are screens.
Evans 10-15 targets
Godwin 8-12 targets
Palmer 3-5 targets
Thompkins - 0-2 targets
That's 5+10+8+3. Doesn't equal 21, kiddo.
And, again, using metrics above floor level; do we really want Baker throwing 30+ times a game (unless he's on point)?
You love this shit on Baker, and defend Canales... but you get your panties in a wad when I shit on Canales and lightly defend Baker.
I give Baker credit when credit is due. Just like I've been openly critical of Dave's situational play calling/sequencing/etc.
But, there's a difference between you and me with the criticism.
My "shitting on Baker" is backed up by film. And, there's A LOT of film of him missing wide open receivers.
Whether he actually misses the throw, misses the read, or simply doesn't pull the trigger.
You "shitting on Canales" is pretty much emotional real-time posts and reactions with little to nothing about it.
You claiming that we don't run slants or crossers, when in fact we do (film, stats, etc. all back this up). As a matter of fact, a particular WR that seems to be struggling this year has one of the highest slants percentages to all routes run in the NFL.
Stuff like "we always run on 2nd down, the runs are predictable, etc."....despite the fact that we only run the ball 27.78% of the time on 2nd and 10. And 35.09% on 2nd and 7-9. Or, the fact that we're a near even split between gap and zone runs, despite the fact that Canales came from an extremely heavy zone/gap split in Seattle.
In the end, yes, I'll cut Canales a little bit of slack. He's a rookie OC. I expect some growing pains.
Baker, however, is a former 1st overall pick who's been in the league 6 years. I expect him to make basic throws, basic reads, and not be the worst deep ball passer in the NFL.

Love this pie in your face... 10+8+3+0=21
Just gonna leave that here. Thanks old timer... for the laugh.
Now I fully expect you to back track this hilarity but it's right there....captured in time.
I'll respond to the rest in another post but I just want this immortalized for trying to mock me (both of you)
2nd and 10... you should run there only if you're a great run team like the browns etc with limited wr weapons.
Where Canales has done well is using White in the passing game, as if it's the running game.
But this team should run on 2nd and 10 under 10% of the time. Your argument that they pass more than run is ridiculous. Of course they do... that's not the point. The point is running on 2nd and long is throwing a down away.
...
Slants, crossers, and rubs. I'm open to being wrong here. Please show me your source on these stats. And if you have it, the usage on 3rd and less than 6... I don't see a ton of slants and I certainly don't see Baker THROWING a ton of slants (but that could be his fault not Canales).
I do not however see enough pick/rub plays. And typically those are a 1st read type play. So if we aren't throwing them often then either it's execution or Baker is checking out of them or he's skipping the first read.
Which brings up the question - you said situational play calling is your biggest criticism... does that include these critical third downs?

Oh the 5 is for White... thought you were counting Evans as 15 (5+10). I'm saying 21 for the wr unit.
Nevermind...

Immortalized indeed, kiddo.
Let me know if you need help pulling your foot from your mouth.

lolz @ "immortalized" and how long this took you to put together. Hell, they were you own made up numbers, and you still fucked it up. You're having a rough season.
It's always great when someone talks down to someone else, all while being objectively wrong.

There are a myriad of reasons to run in that situation, including the look the defense is showing. Just admit you were unaware of the metrics (reality) while spewing your (perception of reality) "analysis" in almost every Gameday thread. Your pigheadedness isn't doing you any favors.
Just admit you . . .
lol. your keyboard probably melted or lightning struck nearby
Jamel "Made of Glass" Dean
Geez...
Ian Rapaport:
The #Bucs appear to have dodged a bullet with CB Jamel Dean. Sources say the ankle EGO injury he suffered against the #49ers has him week-to-week, and while he might miss time, it's not considered to be a long injury. Based on what it looked liked initially, this is good news.
There's a couple of problems with your analysis. First, Baker isn't playing better than expected. It just looks like it because he hasn't been throwing a ton of pics, though he does have close to a dozen dropped INT's this year. He's also managing to keep a high percentage and high rating because he's playing Captain Checkdown and not turning it over much.
this is where the breakdown gets a bit weird because you're critical of Canales' offense but implying here that Baker isnt playing that good because he's missing opportunities ("Captain Checkdown")? But, those those missed opportunities would be a product of Canales' offense, right?
So either Baker is doing the right thing by checking down because they are not there or he's doing the wrong thing because they are there. Which one?
I dont think its anywhere near that complicated. Canales has a good offense but its currently mismatched with existing personnel (and a defense that is NOT performing as all had hoped)
I think you are misunderstanding me. The checkdowns aren't the call by Canales (some plays are designed, obviously, for the short passes out to the flats). I'm talking about the plays where the core routes are running at the intermediate and deep levels and he's failing to throw them, despite guys being open (which I define as having leverage on the defender vs. wide open), and taking the checkdown instead of hitting the deeper routes. Canales is doing a fairly good job for a first time OC. His play calling is generally not the reason why we aren't scoring more points. It's the lack of execution, whether it's drops or balls not thrown, or passes just being thrown poorly. The drops are always going to be something that happens. The rest is in the QB's wheelhouse, and Baker just isn't getting it done.
Trask was never going to be the answer, it was a wasted pick from the start.
What I can't stand about comments like this is you THINK you KNOW what Trask can and can't do in the NFL. While I believe he can do better and do certain things that could, potentially, make him a franchise caliber guy, and others believe he can't, the reality is NOBODY, including you, truly knows. The Patriots thought Tom Brady was just a backup, until he had to play and became the GOAT. The 49ers thought Purdy was just a 3rd string QB. The Bucs thought Steve Young was never going to be any good. I could go on. I just wish people like you would stop with the nonsense. You have no clue whether or not Trask will be a wasted pick or not, other than if he never gets a chance to try and start. What I know, for a fact, is Mayfield isn't the guy. He's shown it time and again. Time to move on. See if Trask has it or not so we are prepared with our needs in the off-season. But that would make too much sense.

As I posted earlier I think is YPC average is higher than Brady's last year.
Thats said, you're arguing for Trask at a time when Mayfield has played a big role in the offense and the defense is really the problem, so your argument for Trask is sort of "but yet unproven Trask would do even better."
Maybe, but thats not usually the reason a veteran QB gets replaced during a playoff run

Nobody in the NFL thinks that Trask can play and win. Quit being a Trask honk. He is much closer to Brody Croyle than someone like Minshew.
How many of the “bench Mayfield now for Trask” crowd are Gators who called Noles loons for their insane support of Winston?
