Do we think Canales and Mayfield sit and watch film together each week and go over all these progressions and missed opportunities? If they do, then why isn't there any more noticeable improvement? It seems to me both should be trying to get better each week, and the results are terribly uneven and inconsistent. Sure, early in the season it's expected with new coaches and players. But they've had OTAs, training camp, preseason, and an 18-week regular season to work out these kinks. Is it foolish to expect and demand more progress at this point going into the playoffs? I don't think so.
LOLwhich leads me to believe BM made his mind up presnap about where he wanted to go with the ball.
Speaking of having his mind made up presnap, check out Queipo’s tweet showing a play with Edmunds.

I just can't figure out why the playcaller can't make things easier and adjust for the QB?????
This surprises nobody.
The best part is the total acknowledgment that he's a one-read guy, and still blames Canales.
LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is why I'd like to see Canales and Baker for a season WITHOUT our current HC.
As usual that comment makes no sense

Here, let's put you to the test. A chance to truly elevate Canales over Mayfield and a chance to actually back up one of your points. I don't know the answer because I have not "watched the film" but you claim to so here you go . ..
YOU ARE CANALES . . your injured QB cant throw the ball successfully over 10 yard. You run that play highlighted by Josh Q.
WHAT DO YOU ABSOLUTELY DO LATER IN THE GAME?
SO . . . . . . . DOES CANALES DO IT?
He should, but does he? I dont know, but if you truly watch film . . . you would know and IN FACT you'd be able to identify the later play? So go fetch . . .
(this is lay up IF anything you post here is true. BUT you will not because A) your posts are mostly lies or B you dont find the play and that looks bad for Canales - the point a couple Canales fans have been making here)
threw that last bit in as an EXTRA incentive! lol

Yeah this is a presnap decision for sure. Ball is in the air pretty quick. No safety help... Baker played like ass for sure.
Not sure why he thinks our wr3 vs their cb1 is a good matchup.

This is the point of a thread I started, a thread that was immediately TROLLED lol
ONE reason the Bucs and most NFL teams dont win 5 or 6 games in a row in the NFL is that eventually the film catches them. Mayfield has struggled lately BUT one reason (not the ONLY reason, plenty is on him) he has struggled is because Canales has been unable to adjust to the defense put out by the Saints and now the Panthers.
No one has to take my word for it (and some certainly will not lol), because you can see it yourself with just a few examples;
1. if you watch the Saints game they DISRUPT the interior run game, even blitzing the run, and behind that often showed MAN pre-snap then dropped into ZONE. Watched th Panthers game you will see the same thing (they watched the Sainst film), especially blowing uo the interior run (mostly with ONE defnder).
2. On multiple plays, our UFA 3rd receiver (who had a fumble and a dropped pass) Palmer is covered by 8th overall CB Jaycee Horn. The Panthers knew that we would be featuring him as a response to their zoning up Evans and Godwin
3. IIRC, we run ONE screen in the game and its a terrible play. Its a terrible play because they are in zone, we clearly expected man
I am a HUGE Canales fan and LUKEWARM on Mayfield. The Bucs' offense has struggled in part because of Canales and also because (think last season) we dont have the counterpunch of a great TE or 3rd receiver (they are trying), so both the Saints ands the Panthers STOP the run for the most part and drop into zone and Baker has done a shitty job (in part injured).
Canales went to Palmer over and over . .. he didnt do much. Look at the play that is posted here that is a Josh Q tweet . . or look at his RZ drop, which gets translated here to "you have to make diving catches wihth this QB" lol.
BOWLES GENTLY IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM POST GAME
"“When you execute everything goes well. When people get enough film on you and you keep doing the same thing, you have to change some. “So we have to switch some things up."
TEAM SPORT. Saying Canales is struggling is not aboslving Mayfield .. . its not making one a "baker bros" lmao. Its acknowledging REALITY
Last week there was a claim that mayfield missed an open Palmer when Palmer was not even on the play side. This week Mayfield is to blame for throwing to a singled up Palmer with no safety over the top (the actual called play and part of the adjustment?). Earlier in the season, Mayfield is faulted for always checking down.
Otton misses a block and a CALLED RUN PLAY (Canales) and it is described here as Mayfield checking into it.
Lots of trolling fiction. You can almost always find someone running free, thats does not AUTOMATICALLY mean the QB missed him in his progression.
Mayfield has struggled in the last two BUT he really rises and sinks with the offense (hes NOT Brady) and the offense itself has struggled . . . how was that run game early against the Saints? Panthers? HOW WAS IT IN OUR WINS?

As if what? I'm not sure I follow your point.
Something to do with Baker's limitations I assume
