Yes we do. We knew with a dominate defense all we needed was just a little more production out of the offense in 1999, 2000, & 2001. Coach Dungy was not able to get it done. Most of us fans knew he was not holding the offense as accountable as the defense. The team needed to bring in an offense mind to get them over the hump or over the Eagles nest. Gruden was able to do so.
We all knew it again with Winston. Winston was holding this offense back last season. Even with all the good he did there was always the pimple between the eyes on prom night. All those interceptions at the worst possible time. He needed to be held accountable. He might have been the QB again this coming season if not for the help of the Falcons. As happy as the Falcons were after winning that last game in OT, they might be sorry this coming season for showing the team the way to the door Tom Brady was standing behind. Time will tell if this was just the push the offense needed.
