153 eric gray rb okla
175 clayton tune qb houston
181 ronnie bell wr mich
196 jay ward saf lsu
252 cam mcdonald te fsu
Based on what I am hearing these will be the positions that they want to fill in draft..but who the heck knows..need slot cb, backup lb,
153 WR AT Perry
175 SAF Jammie Johnson
181 OT Warren Carter
196 LB SirVocea Dennis
252 CB Rejzohn Wright
Kicker
TE and or WR
secondary
Bucs may try to trade into 4th round. My guess is 2024 4th plus #175 to pick at # 103 to 107.
#103 TE Josh Whyle or RB Roschon Johnson
#153 RB Chase Brown or TE Zach Kuntz
#181QB Max Duggans
# 191 CB Anthony Johnson (Virginia)
# 252 WR Matt Landers
.
wish we had more picks and didn't reach for Mauch and Diaby...
now you can't move up in the 4th round and have to spend more money in free agency.
another panthers... good 5th rounder!
are Habakkuk Baldonado and Brandon Hill the next picks?
I said this in the other thread but I wish we tried for Phillips in the 4th (no pick after trade up) and Sewell in the 5th.
I'm cool with the LB we took tho after watching a little tape.
Seems like all of our picks after the first were reaches. Idk...
Feeling very uninformed with the players we took so hard to grade
Bucs add another weapon for Canales. WR Trey Palmer.
Bucs add another front seven defender. Edge Jose Ramirez. Probably a hedge that Cam Gill doesn't come back due to injury or possibly a PS candidate.
Really like the positions we drafted. Now just gotta hope they were the right guys!
Not too upset with what happened, except the josh hayes pick seems like an unnecessary reach . surprised we didnt draft a rb and nickleback. I think we may need to get a couple of priority undrafted rbs , and there some promising cbs and safeties out there who look to go undrafted. who will be our undrafted qb? Could find an interesting Dl, lb, also in free agent.
Phillips would have been perfect. Could have gotten him with the 4th we threw away to trade up.
I agree that we took the right positions... so Lichts personnel strategy is an A+ for me.
For value, he was a D+. Almost every pick was a reach.
His trades weren't great either. A 6th this year for a 5th next year in a deep draft?
My grade in uninformed because we drafted players I'm unfamiliar with... but based on personnel, value, need, and trades I'd give Licht a B-
I am not sold on diaby and hope I am wrong...seemed he could have been taken a round later. Didnt have to draft josh hayes till mid 7th rnd probably. Think we lost a draft pick out there in 6th that we didnt need to lose. Would have liked for them to grab a rb they liked in rnd 6. 3rd qb ? a vet and a free agent rookie compete for 3rd?
The problem when you reach for a player is you bring excess scrutiny to the pick.
So in this case Licht better know what he's doing
