I was completely convinced that Lovie Smith was going to remain the HC of this team for 2016, based on everything that I knew and everything that I could infer. Well, I was completely and totally WRONG. Frankly, I'm shocked that the owners made this move, because it was my understanding that Lovie had been, essentially, told that he would be given at least three seasons to turn things around.Perhaps the owners are worried about losing Koetter and intend to promote him, so rather than risk it they decided to make their move. That may be the case, but I have no information to support that assumption.Well, either way... a BOLD move by the Glazers. I supported Coach Smith and I'll support the new coach as well. As most of you know, I was a guy who always felt like the HC was the man in charge and he had a plan and it was my job to execute it as best as I could and do my part.Best of luck to Coach Smith, he did do a couple of things of value here: he returned respect to a team that had lost a bunch of it around the league because of Coach Schiano, and he helped ensure that the Bucs got their franchise QB. Hopefully this change means exciting times ahead for Bucs fans!Wow.
