Scotty Miller > Atlanta
The rest of the NFC is playing for second place, now. Do the Falcons know they just picked up a WR better than Antonio Brown for a cheap one-year deal? What a steal.

Â
Just go ahead and crown them now. Their practice squad is gonna be 🔥Â

While he is an upgrade in range… he is a complete liability where Succop was essentially automatic.ÂBucs have agreed to terms with kicker Chase McLaughlin. He’s 26, went 30-for-36 last year, including nine kicks from 50-plus. Upgrade in range from Ryan Succop
“McLaughlin is 17-for-21 from 50-plus yards in his career, but only 19-for-32 from 40-49.”
he makes nearly only half of his field goal attempts within 50 yards.Â
not a signing to be excited about IMO
Â
I'm not excited about either of these kickers... but poor kicking and special teams is the Buccaneers way

so having both chase and succup on the game day roster would have been idealÂ
it’s a shame they can’t expand rosters by a few spotsÂ

bucs signing PFF's highest graded Safety Ryan Neal to a 1-year deal!

That is a very good value signing.
Next to Winfield that will create a nice 1-2 punch. That also helps with the draft as the Bucs are not forced to draft a safety high and also allows the Bucs to focus on drafting a nickel back/edge rusher, DL and ILB instead.Â
Â
Could be a great signing by Licht and should fit what Bowles likes to do with safeties.Â
Also, it should free up what we do in the 1st round.Â
Neal, who is only 27 years old, finished 2022 as Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded safety. He earned an 85.6 — more than three points better than the No. 2 safety — after earning a starting job in Week 5.
Neal, had a tender from the Seahawks as a restricted free agent, but the team withdrew the tender last week. That made him an unrestricted free agent.
He would have received the lowest-level tender of $2.627 million if he had signed it before the Seahawks revoked it.
The Seahawks signed Julian Love to go with Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams at the position, leading to them moving on from Neal.
Neal had 66 tackles, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble last season.
The Bucs lost safeties Mike Edwards (Chiefs) and Keanu Neal (Steelers) this offseason. They had only Antoine Winfield Jr. and Nolan Turneron their roster at the position before Neal’s agreement.
PFF’s Jonathon Macri wrote the following about Neal after last season:
In what is likely the most out-of-nowhere performance of the 2022 NFL season, Neal stepped into a starting role in Week 5 after Jamal Adams’ season ended in Week 1 and after Josh Jones, who originally replaced Adams, wasn’t up to snuff as an NFL starter in the three games that preceded Neal taking over.
“From Week 5 on, Neal didn’t allow a single touchdown and just a 54.3% completion percentage as the primary coverage player on 35 targets. He posted a 20.0% forced incompletion rate (tied for 10th) and surrendered just a 51.3 passer rating when targeted (ninth) in that time, as well, which led to the second-best coverage grade (85.7) at the position.”
Neal is a bigger safety, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 200 pounds. He has some versatility to his game, as he can play as both a box safety and a free safety in addition to covering the slot. Last year, he played 362 snaps in the box, 236 at free safety and 118 in the slot.
Neal played in 14 games for a playoff team.Originally an undrafted free agent out of Southern Illinois in 2018, Neal will make the Bucs his fourth NFL team after previously spending time with the Eagles, Falcons and Seahawks.
Licht handcuffed himself this off-season but I am pleased with what he has done.

I think this will be another sneaky good signing for us
Â
Lavonte was hit with reality , 1 year 7 millionÂ
thank god they didn’t give him moreÂ
Yet, still plays light years better than your boy, Devin.

If White was a free agent he would get 10 times thatÂ
should tell you all you need to knowÂ
Well, White was a Free Agent and he didn't come close to sniffing $70M. That tells me all I need to know.
