The Eagles likely can deal with Campbell not playing this year, and there need for production from a bottom of the 4th is different than what you expect at #19 - this season.
Just because it seemed like a good fit to drop in a 1st round ILB to learn from LVD while we have him - doesn’t mean you would have had J Campbell at his best. The Eagles were limited and placed a 2nd round vet on him. They have very few areas of weakness on their defensive roster - and he was better value where they picked him,
I think the shoulder (and I believe knee) were bigger concerns at #19.
I think it bears repeating that just becuase we needed ILB, doesn’t mean he was the best value at #19.
I trust Licht on this.
Taking a LB in the first who is just average is terrible value.
Egbuka will be a far better pro than Campbell
