I have a strong feeling he is already gone
why do you say that? Would have to think Godwin is our top priority and if the last few off-seasons since 2020 are any indication, i am not as worrisome.
This was the plan all along IMO, not anything to do with the way negotiations are going right now. We should have known Godwin was going to see what's out there when he agreed to extend the Void date to the same time as the free agency opens. That helped the Bucs, but really it helped Godwin more. It eliminated the reason for doing an early deal and allows Godwin to see what's out there without burning his bridges with the Bucs. Your feelings could be right, and he could already be gone, but this isn't some new development because of stalled negotiations. This was the reason Godwin extended the void deadline.I have a strong feeling he is already gone
I think godwins team wants Godwin pre-injury type money, while the Bucs are of the opinion that FA values him less due to the ankle. I think he’ll sniff the market to gauge his worth and then bring that back to Tampa for a deal.
hope I’m not wrong x.x
Both sides are very motivated to get a deal done.
I think they land somewhere in the neighborhood of 3yr/$66M (with $45M guaranteed).
Weird…
NFL Network says it’s a three-year, $66 million deal with incentives and $44 million guaranteed.
Great call, DH
