Money and stability will probably be the ultimate factors in his decision
That's what I would think it comes down to. The players will factor in of course, but it's not like he's working with a high school line here. I'd assume he feels he can coach up just about anyone. Another factor would probably be which job could launch him back into an HC position again.
plus he played his entire career in Houston, with the Oilers mind you, but he certainly is familiar with that city.
Who was the OLine coach in Houston for Kubiak? Didn't they usually have a good OLine?
Dennison was OC, John Benton was OL.
Might be a fall back plan if Munchak goes there. IIRC the Texans OL was always pretty dominant.

I could be wrong, but I think they were more of a zone-blocking scheme. Tedford supposedly prefers a power run scheme.

I think you are correct......my error....thanks
Pay him double what the Texans will pay. We know he can coach OL.
Surprised the Rams aren't trying to acquire him. He has a long history with Fisher.
Hopefully they can nab the guy. Fingers crossed!
Munch still has a ways to go before "settling" for a OL coach gig. He has intervied for a couple HC gigs, and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets one of them.
Whisenhunt just got the Titans HC gig, per ESPN. But, yeah, everyone wants Munchak, but no reason to think we won't win him over. If he's a teacher, he'd have the opportunity to build a new O'line with his guys from the ground up, as our current O'line is past their better days. I got no issue with Dennison either, and he's been an NFL O'Line coach before...
Zimmer is back for 2nd interview in Minny, looks like Lions are going Caldwell, Browns looking at Schiano.... MUNCHAK, MUNCHAK!!!
Lions went with Caldwell.Munchak would be a very good addition and another ex NFL HC hire for the squad.
And if Muchak chooses Houston, I'd have Rick Dennison, who was Houston's OC under Kubiak and earlier coached O'line in Denver, as my plan B. He had an interview for HC in Chicago las year before Trestman got it. I actually remember him from his Bronco playing days...
I wanted Dennison as HC in 2012. He has the best resume in the league of anyone who hasn't been a HC.
Is there a Dennison - Smith connection?
