The #Buccaneers are working on a deal to hire Liam Coen as their new offensive coordinator, sources tell me and @RapSheet. After bouncing between the #Rams and Kentucky the last six years, Coen likely heads to Tampa for a possible reunion with pending free agent Baker Mayfield.
I like it!
His only year in the NFL as a OC was pretty rough. Hopefully that was because of injuries. His offenses in college weren't bad.
He needs to bring Kentucky OL coach with him , and QB coach
He comes from the McVay tree, which is what many of us were asking for.
Thought he was OC this past year
I'm cautiously optimistic. Let's hope he can run a system without Bowles clamping down the system.
I dont know much about him, so I'll be excited to see what enthusiasm he brings, and if it helps keep continuity here, and we keep Baker and Evans, I'm all for it.
Here's to building on the success from last year, and coming out stronger next season. GO BUCS!!!
So this is a good thing??? Ok Cool, but who holds the final decision making on Game day. Who will be responsible for calling time outs and setting up the defensive scheme, will that be our HC again, we need a DC to either let Bowles focus soley on game management, or he needs to step down as HC to DC and focus soley on scheming his opponents week in week out and playing aggressive without the burden and fear that comes with being a HC on a perpetual hot seat. You know why part of me resents Bowles after that 4th quarter...I have a feeling, an inkling that Bowles felt SAFE after winning the Iggles game, he felt his seat had finally cooled down, so he reverted to comfort measures...to him it was all vanilla anyway, his seat was "cool and assuredly consistent" after the Iggles, right? HE( 😤) had exceeded expectations no? So hay, lets celebrate. He popped the champaign after the Iggles game and Gave his old BUUdi Dan Morgan a solid, a high 5 and a coke'anDa'Smile, Heres a TO for you Morgan, I want U to face the 49'rs, we dont even want one MORE PLAY.
Yeah, that to me is selfishness. He apparently is more enthused regarding his job security than he is enthused to see fire in the eyes of his pupils. To me, that bit is instantly a fireable offense, regardless of previous accolades (which in his case, are fewish). Take TB12 for example, the GOAT. Suppose... Lets say during our superbowl here at home (never been dun before and may never again), Brady had us at the 10 yard line, 1 second left on the clock, down by one point, one magic play away from making HISTORY IN TAMPAAAA BAYYYYYYY, and he Instead, spikes the ball into the dirt, winks at P'ma as a sign of respect and then goes on to his post game presser talking about a gentlemens understanding in regards to the proper and polite/respectful way to sho the younger generation Grace blah blah blah, hibbidy blu blah...I didnt hear a word you said (TB)-Eminem 8 mile (vs Lado-the guy with the wife beater/bra that doesnt fit him while trying to impersonate DMX). If that happened I would FIRE TB12 INSTANTLY, because yeah its a nice gesture, but you forgot who youre FIGHTING 4, your TEAMATES(=Nonblood FAMILY) your COACHES (=Mentors), and yoUR FKING FAN BASE (Without US, their IS NO FOOTBALL).
Maybe Im reading into that singular misstep, the symbolism of what refusing to take that TO means in regards to revealing a persons tru nature. And if so, is it possible for a TIger Lion to change his/her Stripes Spots....yes, yes it is, but its EXTREMELY HARD. Ive looked into Bowles Eyes, he doesnt have withIN him, here and NOW, the courage to Lead Himself much less a Team of men BIGGER than HIM. I doubt he will be able to change his Mane at all, I just hope he tries, at least...

Very nice very nice indeed. More or less consistent with what Im hoping to see also. TY keep up the gUd work!!!!
He's done a pretty good job with Kentucky. Not great, but pretty good.
I’m pretty happy with it.
baker likely will be as well.
going from Leftwich to Canales was night and day. Will be hard to find someone as bad as Leftwich yet as good as Canales.
but were any of us thinking Canales would become a HC after year 1? I sure didn’t.
time will tell.
