I read an article somewhere that talked about offenses spreading out receivers to make it tougher for Bowles to blitz.

if that is accurate it’s seem like you’d really want the great one on one pass rushing DE even more, as opposed to blitzing

@bucsbits - yeah. That was mean talking about teams spreading our defense out. It makes it harder for defenses to hide blitzes or coverages. Defense has to spread out with the offense.

Low risk depth signing. $3M deal with incentives.

Signed what we could afford.

Still expect EDGE in R1 or R2.

Oooooo.  This is interesting.  Why sign him given his significant red flags?  Does he physically still have potential?  Can he still run and tackle? And that's "just" on the field stuff.

The true gamble is, is he going to rub off on our young and impressionable players.  He's either going to Lead them astray or he can serve as the poster child of "what NOT TO DO."  It all depends on where his mental is.  Personally I would hard pass on the guy, just not worth the risk, but I didn't sit down and talk to him, look him in the eyes etc.  Just my 2c.

I think we’re going to need some good bodies this season, getting the right ones will be important.

I’m not worried at all. The locker room is loaded with vets that have the right mindset, and a winning attitude/culture (thank you, Brady).

If Gregory turns into a cancer, he’ll get the quick boot.

@ramomb

atleast positive weed tests doesn’t get guys suspended anymore. That was clearly a rule that existed decades longer than it needed to be

Tanard Jackson would be in the Ring of Honor if it wasn't for weed tests.

Schatz’s formula has Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner having the biggest impact with 26.3 sacks in his first five years (remember, rarely do edge rushers rack up many sacks as rookies). Schatz also has Florida State beast Jared Verse (24.4) projected to have more sacks in his first five seasons than UCLA sackmeister Laiatu Latu (23.4)

After Penn State’s Chop Robinson at No. 4 (21.2) there is a big drop off on Schatz’s list to No. 5 with Western Michigan’s Marshawn Kneeland (15.7).

Not sure if he has previous year predictions/analysis/formulas.

I’ve searched and can’t find anything.

If there is, I’d love to see it and compare to the actual results.
