Bucs lose their punt and kickoff returner 48 hours before kickoff -- at that point, you just want someone reliable who can field catches without muffs or fumbles. Logan has been stellar on punt returns, below average on kickoff returns.
Arians says RB T.J. Logan broke his thumb in practice today and will miss the final four games of the season. With Scotty Miller also hurt, Arians said Justin Watson, Sean Murphy-Bunting and Dare Ogunbowale are options for returns.
Best I can tell, Bucs' Justin Watson hasn't fielded a punt or kickoff in college or NFL. Sean Murphy-Bunting had a single kickoff return at Central Michigan. Ogunbowale has kickoff return experience but not on punts.
Bucs have worked T.J. Logan in as a third-down back a little this year -- 23 offensive snaps, three carries for 10 yards, two catches for 13. Ogunbowale can absorb that as part of his offensive role. Bigger deal is replacing him on returns.
