The Bucs are nearing a sellout for Sunday's season opener at home against the Titans, with fewer than 1,000 general-admission tickets left for the game, the team announced Friday morning. This would continue an encouraging upward trend for the Bucs, who have seen their announced attendance for home openers increase every year since 2010 -- 47,211 that year, then 51,274 in 2011, 51,533 in 2012, 60,870 in 2013 and 62,442 last season. If Sunday's game sells out, it would be the Bucs' first sellout in a home opener since 2009, when they did so with the Cowboys in town.Speaking of Dallas, the Bucs' November home game against the Cowboys continues to be their most expensive ticket on the secondary market -- on Stubhub.com, the cheapest tickets are $115 for that game. The cheapest seats for the remaining home games, in descending order, are Giants ($72), Bears ($52), Titans ($48), Jaguars ($31), Panthers ($28), Saints ($25) and Falcons ($25).Much of the excitement surrounding Sunday's opener is the debut of Bucs rookie quarterback Jameis Winston, and the first time ever that QBs drafted with the top two picks in the NFL draft will debut against each other, with Titans QB Marcus Mariota on the other sideline. The Bucs have seen their overall attendance improve over the last five years, from a low mark in 2010 with an announced home average of 49,314 to last year's average of 59,659, which still ranked 29th out of 32 NFL teams.
