There will still be the big defensive teams, but I agree that the times have changed. I'd love to see a high-powered offense in Tampa, one that lasts seasons and not just a stretch of games.

Lets face it...200 yards passing may have been considered average in 1998, but it is the year 2013(soon to be 2014)...200 yards passing isn't going to win a lot of football games...Schiano's ground and pound strategy falls apart because the defense isn't elite.

I meant more in terms of, if we had a legitimate QB two years ago instead of a cancerous lazy moron, we'd have Chip Kelly and probably be doing better than we currently are. But hell, if we had a legitimate QB with any kind of mental make up or leadership qualities, Rah still has a job.

I look at the run defense and it is worse than last year. At least the pass defense is improved...,sort of.
Screw a 'modern' offense we need offense period. We don't need someone following in Rob "Robo-sack" Johnson's foot steps either.

I love defense, but the league has changed...offense has to be a top priority in the off season (OL, possibly QB, WR, TE). Defense just needs a new coaching staff and a DE/CB to turn it around.
While defense always has and always will win games, with all the recent rules changes it no longer can accomplish that WITHOUT a good offense. Even Dungy couldn't do it with the stellar defense we had...
