Does anyone have a god summary of where the Bucs stand currently versus the cap?
Bucs currently have 37,201,102 in available cap space

If the Bucs are ironing out final details with an OC then a lot of the dominoes shoudl start to fall . . Coen . . Mayfield . . . Evans . . .
Yes I believe the actual order goes Mayfield....Evans.... Coen. the first dominos were actually Mayfield and Evans, because that's where the real commitment is moneywise. They decided (IMO) to resign Mayfield and probably have a framework of a deal in place, but Mayfield has said as much that for him to sign on the dotted line he needs to know who's calling the plays.Does anyone have a god summary of where the Bucs stand currently versus the cap?

The Bucs want Mayfield. Bucs want Evans. Mayfield and Evans want each other. The Bucs need the OC to fit those two guys rather than the other way around, and that's probably what you were getting at. I don't think there's any way the Bucs would hire an OC who didn't work for those two no matter how high profile the guy was.
Yes agree. We are saying the same thing. I was just talking about inking the deals. You are describing priority. I agree.
it's ok to "debate" about priority but if we are being honest....an off-season that doesn't have Evans, Mayfield, Winfield, David, and McLaughin as Bucs in 2024 is a failure. Only exceptions would be a David retirement or a Patrick Mahomes falling out with Chiefs ;)

or a massive rebuild, but yes good point.
we just had our most successful season (without the GOAT) in two decades....why the heck would we rebuild?
Like JL says, it's not a rebuild, it's a retool or reload.
even with drafting a #1 overall QB, it makes sense to sign all the guys listed (sans maybe Mayfield but we can talk about that once we trade up to get that #1 overall pick which is unlikely)
we just had our most successful season (without the GOAT) in two decades
You keep saying this, but how are you defining success? Because we've had multiple seasons with better winning percentages and points scored.

Here comes "Winston started some games" part II

Well, I was envisioning dominoes falling . . no Mayfield means no Evans, David retires etc. Maybe re-tool? :-)

lmao. the debate Debbie's unite!
Baker Mayfield is better than Jameis Winston
Debatable Debbie 1: "Now wait just a minute there. He started in 10 games over a possible 66 games with the Saints. Did you see his touchdown pass against the Bucs in the 2020 playoff run?"
The Bucs won a playoff game with Baker Mayfield. Something they only have done with the greatest quarterback of all time and Brad Johnson back in the 2002 season when they won the Superbowl. Would suggest that is more successful than having more wins or losing in the first round.
Debatable Debbie #2: "Well technically, the Bucs won in January 2003 so your wrong on 2002 comment"
EDIT: My broken record comment is most successful season since 2002 sans Brady

It seems like a fair question ask: how are you defining success?
Higher Winning Percentage in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, & 2016
Higher Points Scored in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2018, & 2019
Higher Point Differential in 2003, 2005, 2007, & 2008
Are you able to put into words how you are defining successful or not? It's a pretty simple question. Are you going to go the shameless sleazeball attorney route and dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge? Or are you going to answer a very simple and direct question on your repeated statement.

But Buggsy you've been dodging ducking dipping and diving a " very simple and direct" question . .. since the end of the season
Buggsy, do you at least admit now that you wanted to bench Mayfield IN OCTOBER?
Can you own that yet?
