Come on. This right here is bullspit.
Sorry, Professor.
Facts are facts and they most certainly trump your god-awful takes.
We’ve seen and read about Bowles “management style”.
You are not just talking about Bowles, you are talking about the players. Accountability comes from the team leaders as well as the HC, hence the accountability brought by Brady. But the idea that now that Brady is gone there won't be anybody in the locker room who wants to win or who will show leadership? The players are just going to say to themselves. "Whew, Brady's gone. We can just coast through this season of transition..." That's what's bullspit. You think we're going 3-14 just because Brady is gone. Bullspit.Come on. This right here is bullspit.

Again, the reports were there. Deal with it.
What reports said the players are looking forward to coasting this season? Or anything like that? Not sure what you are referring to.You are not just talking about Bowles, you are talking about the players.

There's truth to this but Florio is missing the point.
. . . With Brady gone there's basically no expectations or accountability and the players can just come in and collect their check and go 3-14.
"Via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady missed the team’s Saturday morning walk-through practice and meetings, after attending the Friday night wedding of Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Brady will join the team in Pittsburgh this evening."
The pre-2022 Brady was legendary for his commitment and leadership. including holding players accountable
The late unretiring and divorcing Brady was NOT
That is part of the "truth" underlying Florio's opinion and it was part of the dysfunction of the Bucs.

I mean I would think most pundits and people that aren’t biased fans have us at 5,6 wins which is where Vegas has us
I’m with you, there’s talent on this team but non biased, QB is important and mayfield is aguebly worse than 2019 Jamies.
We won 7 games in 2019 and id argue we had a better roster than then we do now
There's probably a bunch of Bucs players who are relieved they have a SB ring in their home safe as well, and are thankful that Brady helped lead them to the promised land.
With Brady gone this teams is now a 5 to 7 win team. I find it hard to believe they are relieved of that. This article makes it sound like the bucs don't like being in the spot light. And I have seen the coaches act relieved about it but I doubt the players are. They want to go the playoffs and get another ring. Loser mentality from coaches is a good way to get a decent pick the next year tho. Winning mentality and culture needs to stay with Brady gone but let's also be honest this team was on a collision course when he hung them up with who we have running the team. There is no relief there just now we are starting over and who knows where that goes.
Sure nobody with a sane mind is going to predict Mayfield/Trask is going to win the Superbowl. But look Brady didn't do it by himself. Football is more of a team game than any other sport. Brady has been overshadowing the rest of his teammates. Rightfully so considering who he is, and I think was fine with all involved as long as they were winning. But if they weren't winning, then maybe it's not fine. There's probably a bunch of Bucs players who are relieved they have a SB ring in their home safe as well, and are thankful that Brady helped lead them to the promised land.
This narrative that people are buying into, including Vegas, that Brady is gone, Arians is gone, and now it's time for the Bucs carriage to turn back into a pumpkin, to go back to their usual status as the loser team in the backwater town of the NFL. How do you feel about the teams execution? I'm in favor of it.
Not so fast.
This narrative that people are buying into, including Vegas, that Brady is gone
Vegas was built on idiots who had the line of thinking that Brady was a “garden variety QB like Andy Dalton”.
They built that entire city on the backs of dopes like you.
I haven’t seen how Vegas rates us but AT LEAST ON PAPER it shouldn’t be good. The team was bad last year and not getting better next year with no Brady and the need to get under the cap and rookie QB/reclamation project QB
the wild card is only that you don’t know about the competition the Bucs will face given how teams vary year to year.
Here's a dopey fact for you. Vegas Over/Under for Bucs in 2022: 11.5 wins. Actual 8 wins. Difference = 3.5 games. Nice job, Vegas. This narrative that people are buying into, including Vegas, that Brady is gone

Yep.
Lefty was so freaking bad, not even the Gods of Vegas could’ve predicted his incompetence.

QB always gets all the credit. Look no further than Philadelphia, KC, Buffalo, Cindy, etc
to think Brady, a walking babe Ruth, wasn’t going to be talked about consistently is silly. Playoff Lenny, said it best, he will be able to tell his grandkids that he played with Tom Brady
No player was happy Brady left. Arguably not even the QB room where a guy would have a chance to see the field

Like Java before I think you are quoting the "Vegas odds" after Brady said he was back. This is ONE commentary on that specific odd (over/under) at its from July. It made arguments on both sides, so this is just the under arguments BUT THE FIRST TWO WERE posted here often during season decline
Why You Should Bet the Under: Buccaneers Win Total in 2022
"
#1 Reason to bet the Under:
The Buccaneers allowed the fewest number of sacks in 2021 and benefited from unrepeatable offensive line health.
The starting five linemen played 88% of offensive snaps together, while only four other teams had the same five linemen for over 50% of snaps.
Regression in terms of injury luck combined with two new starters likely taking time to adjust could cause lead to increased pressure for Brady."
#2 Reason to bet the Under:
The offense still has receiving question marks with the retirement of Rob Gronkowski and the status of Chris Godwin after he suffered an ACL injury in December and is likely to miss time early in the season.
Brady operates an offense that gets the ball out quickly but also requires the receivers to win early as he averaged the second-fastest time to throw behind only Ben Roethlisberger.
Depth at wide receiver and tight end could hinder this offense with poor injury luck.
#3 Reason to bet the Under:
The defense played the easiest opposing passing offenses in 2021 and see a large jump in opposing quality of quarterbacks and offenses.
The defense blitzed at the highest rate and had significantly more success against poorer starting quarterbacks.
Matthew Stafford defeated the Bucs twice while Dak Prescott and Josh Allen lost close games. The slate of opposing quarterbacks in 2022 is much stronger.
