I think there was some question about that last year. But there were numerous problems with the defense due to injuries and apparently the thinking is David is far from the biggest problem.LVD will be full time regardless of who we bring in unless the wheels fall off. Hes a Bucs legend. He goes out a starter unless he just can’t keep up anymore.
David can’t be the primary cover LB anymore but he can definitely contribute in so many other ways
To that point, do we gain any insight inot this offseason with the re-signing of LVD? In other words, does it tell us how they might draft?

Better draft a LB in waiting, LVD signing was terrific, but he’s not the same cat in coverage. The intelligence is there, the experience is elite, but his body is wearing down.
love the re-signing, but find someone that has some raw talent in round 2 or 3 - but at that coverage spot I think we need to couple any draft pick to a competent experienced FA till the backup can get up to speed, and earn a spot on the field.

The times I’ve watched him, he’s been pretty good in coverage. His scouting reports vary here. Some say good, some say bad.

The stuff I've seen has been mixed bag. Still like him though.
