Bucs’ scoring decrease parallels Martin’s recent slumpDoug_Zps3Jq9Rvxo.jpg Running back Doug Martin (22)  has gained just 165 yards on 52 carries (3.1 yards per carry) the past three games. ASSOCIATED PRESS FILE PHOTO By Roy Cummings | Tribune Staff Published: November 19, 2015Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin has stumbled into a bit of slump in recent weeks. Though he still ranks fifth overall in the NFL in rushing he has gained just 165 yards on 52 carries (3.1 yards per carry) the past three games. Not surprisingly, Martin’s slump has negatively impacted the Bucs’ offense. After scoring an average of 28 points during the previous three-game span, the offense has scored just 17 per game since, including 10 last weekend against Dallas.Offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter said a little more attention to detail should fix the problem.“We think it’s mainly in the details.’’ Koetter said. “I mean, our running backs aren’t running any differently. We just haven’t been as sharp. But we have been very physical. It’s not a question of effort or physicality. We just have to iron out a few details. Like most plays, if we’re all on the same page, we have a lot better chance.’’[email protected]Twitter: @RCummingsTBO
