“Bucs reach three-year, $22 million deal with Samaje Perine, per a league source with $12.5 million guaranteed“
Looks like White will ultimately get traded.
But, this is a shit deal IMO.
I don’t like this at all because it looks like White will get traded. We don’t need anyone added to our backfield

Agreed. Should have just drafted one or get Emmitt Smith more touches.

Auman saying it’s a false alarm.
Even Licht took to Twitter to deny it.

Good. The more I thought about it, the less I liked it. It would have put a damper on the Reddick/Godwin signings.
If White is traded it's because he asks for a trade. Otherwise, there's no reason to trade him.
We have 3 RBs who are better. Would make zero sense
lol I was about to say…please don’t let this be true.
Plenty of rb available in the draft.
Look how far Bucky fell.

There are plenty of reasons to trade him.
1. It saves $3M of cap space.
2. He's on the last year of his contract and likely will not be re-signed.
3. This is one of the deepest RB classes in memory. A guy we can get in the 5th round is likely a 3rd round pick in most years. That compounds the draft value we're getting in return.
4. He's the worst runner of the 3, by a wide margin.
5. He's a skilled pass blocker and receiver but for the Bucs to take the offense to the next level they have run the ball more, especially with Sean Tucker.
I thought that was real strange news when I read it, real glad it isn't true. It didn't make sense at all given the Bucs RB room.
They aren't paying Godwin to run the ball. Only three teams in the league ran it more than 50% of the time. The Bucs were 12th in the league at 44.6% Even if they have an uptick in the percentage rushing it's still less than half the time, and if you do the math that means they're passing more than half the time. And White ran for 4.3 YPC last year. With one year left on his deal, what are you going to get in trade? A 6th rounder at best.If White is traded it's because he asks for a trade. This one surprised me, but Perine still has some gas in the tank.“Bucs reach three-year, $22 million deal with Samaje Perine, per a league source with $12.5 million guaranteed“

Regarding Rachaad, that was my takeaway as well.
that would have been a nonsense
