@alldaway - we drafted Hayes in the 6th round. A guy that nobody was going to draft and everyone had as an undrafted FA. He was a safety in college. He’s not an NFL corner. Many times I don’t see what Bowles sees in guys. He really has a tough time knowing what he wants in a corner.
Maybe Todd should spend more time actually rushing the QB with his best pass rushers,
You think they are good?
They’re better at rushing the passer than they are at pass coverage.
Maybe, we shouldn’t drop these guys back in coverage at a 20%+ collective rate; and we can actually develop these guys. Because they are absolute ass in coverage.
Something that seems to escape Bowles (and Edwards too).
Early Mock:
Traded back from #19 to #28 (received an additional 2nd)
R1 (28) - Jalon Walker (LB)
Traded up from #51 to #39 (gave up a 3rd)
R2 (39) - Jihaad Campbell (LB)
R2 (60) - Jared Ivey (EDGE)
R4 (119) - Dorian Strong (CB)
R5 (156) - CJ West (DL)

well if you think hose edge rushers are dropping back to cover guys downfield (as opposed to playing a role in a blitz)…

@bucsbits 💯! Just not the guy that we lean on to start at corner in any game.

Do you read that as saying Bowles drops Diaby to cover guys downfield? As opposed to as part of a blitz package?

I don’t love quoting anyone. I quote people etc to point out that the point is not just my emotions or something I pulled out of my ass.
especially when the quoted person should be more objective or someone people seem to trust on football.

Do you read that as saying Bowles drops Diaby to cover guys downfield? As opposed to as part of a blitz package?
So, what are they doing when they drop?

DH, come on now lol. Certainly we can find some come ground here, right?
You obviously understand that in a zone blitz Bowles is NOT saying to himself "I think Diaby can cover that RB better than Dean", right? or even LVD?
The OBJECT is to get pressure . . . its the kind of RISK TAKING that you say Bowles is incapable of, right? Its just that the risk does not pay off on this play.
Here's the EXACT play you have posted about, 4th quarter Diaby on RB:
https://www.nfl.com/games/commanders-at-buccaneers-2024-post-1?active-tab=watch
You agree that the play is an OVERLOAD BLITZ . . 6 guys rushing . .other side from where the RB comes out . .

DH . . . . . here we go. Biggs agrees with you (it seems) ^^^^ He apparently think Bowles puts Diaby into coverage (hes actually part of the rush and peels off) because he thinks Duaby is the best option to cover guys down filed, NOT because its a BLITZ
Let's see where you stand?
Thanks Biggs. You have IMPECCABLE TIMING

Biggs, I GUARANTEE you will NEVER honestly answer the question I posed to DH
10000% GUARANTEE even though I actually provided the LINK to the film.
Heres your chance to prove me wrong. I make that guarantee because youre ONLY a troll.

Just like you trolled the RB thread for 13 weeks BASED ON A LIE
