Bucs Teammates Saw Howard Jones' Breakout ComingTampa Bay Buccaneers Howard Jones had a breakout first NFL game, recording two sacks. While Bucs fans are still trying to figure out who Jones is, teammates George Johnson, Jacquies Smith and Kwon Alexandersay that they saw this coming. Learn more about Howard Jones below, and hear him talk about what as working so well for him against the Jaguars.Jones was a 2014 undrafted free agent out of Shepherd University, a division II school in West Virginia. He originally came to the school to play receiver and made the switch to linebacker. He clocked a 4.54 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine, and while that time was extremely impressive for a defensive lineman, Howard's name wasn't called on draft day. He ended up signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was released this year in September.Jones immediately signed with the Bucs, and became the highest paid practice squad player in the league. He was signed to the active rosterlast week after T.J. Fatinikun was placed on season-ending injured reserve. Jones wasted no time introducing himself to Bucs fans in the game against Jacksonville, sacking quarterback Blake Bortles on his first snap of the game, on third-and-4 on an inside stunt. Then came another one up the middle.Jones became the first Bucs player in 23 years to record multiple sacks in an NFL debut and just the third Bucs player ever to tally two sacks in his first game.VIDEO LINK
