He originally came to the school to play receiver and made the switch to linebacker. He clocked a 4.54 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine, and while that time was extremely impressive for a defensive lineman, Howard's name wasn't called on draft day. He ended up signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was released this year in September.Jones immediately signed with the Bucs, and became the highest paid practice squad player in the league. He was signed to the active rosterlast week after T.J. Fatinikun was placed on season-ending injured reserve. Jones wasted no time introducing himself to Bucs fans in the game against Jacksonville, sacking quarterback Blake Bortles on his first snap of the game, on third-and-4 on an inside stunt.
