any surprises?
dennis over Grier?
A bit surprised kieft made it as well. Thought we’d go 6 WR.
Tavierre Thomas Another surprise to me.
Light on offensive players but I think the Bucs scour the waiver wire for an OL depth piece. Maybe the Bucs would like O'Neal back in the fold if avialable?
A lot of the WRs will end up on the PS that were cut or most of them.
Defensively I would have liked to see Brewer and Earnest make it but it is a numbers game. I think next year Gholston, and Gaines move on and that is when the Bucs revamp that unit with a double dip.
Dennis shouldn't have made it over Grier but the team must be really high on Dennis.
Isaac should have made the squad but the team is high on Izien, Hayes, Meriweather, Funderburk and Smith as young promising versatile defenders. Isaac is purely a boundary CB.
Kieft sticks due to special teams and the Bucs went 5 WRs which suggests that they plan on using Culp more than we anticipate as a wild guess.
Dennis over Grier was a bit of surprise to me as well. While Dennis initially appeared to be a good addition - we haven’t been able to see him in the field. Is that because he’s completely healed but being stashed on the depth chart for a breakout season, or is he just not quite ready for prime time?
Hoping to see Brewer & Earnest Brown on PS.
the team must be really high on Dennis.
some comments from Bowles suggest as much, but you have to be healthy to matter
I think Grier sticks around the PS squad. Being a USF guy saw a lot of games, he's one of those instinctive players who ends up being around the ball. I was hoping he'd be a surprise PS squad guy possibly beating out Deloach on the UDFA roster. Dennis is still talented in the mold of LVD but he's been injured quite often. He's the guy they're hoping to fill LVD's shoes, but if LVD can play at a high level til 38 im all for it
