Bowles deciding to tuck his tail between his legs on 4th and 3 before the half might be the difference in the game.
Bowles is not the solution here.
I'd love him as a DC for the most part...
Even though he always blitzes on 3rd down
we were never closer to a hail mary 😎 if godwin looks up half a second earlier he’s easilly having it!
ok, jameis had one but that was for consolation only
Evans has a 170 yard game this year and still going to be a photo finish that he breaks 1000 yards
if he stays healthy he’s easily going over 1000
diggs and davis were targeted in double digits tonight, evans and godwin maybe 6 times.
This game was never close after 0-0. The talent gap and coaching gap was huge. No change from the Falcons game. The defense is undisciplined and inconsistent. The offense can't run the ball or pass block. Mayfield is a midget out there and can't see downfield. And when he can get the ball off, he's late or inaccurate. But he showed his amazing skills on the last TD drive by skillfully ricocheting the ball off defenders for the TD and the 2 pointer. Maybe Canales should consider a rolling pocket on some plays, or roll Baker out so he can see downfield? A lot of talent on this team being wasted.

I am not sure there is a lot of talent, but agree on the rest. Good post.
I am sure there are many examples but the difference really stood out for me in that long late drive because it was almost like the Bills were toying with our offense, knowing we had nothing but dink and dunk ball.
Mayfield looked small and scared and INDECISIVE. He threw multiple late, weak passes that easily could’ve gone the other way.
This quote from PFF captures the Bucs offense perfectly
“If your QB is Baker Mayfield, you can't afford to have such a terrible run game against light boxes. If the Bills can just sit back with their safeties, there will be no explosives in the passing game and Baker isn't consistent enough to march down the field systematically.”
THIS IS LAST SEASON - right down to the lopsided pass/run stat - JUST WITHOUT THE GOAT

Problem with this take is that Baker is audibling to runs vs heavy boxes.

I wouldn't say it was the difference, but it was definitely a factor. There are multiple decisions a game that effect the overall outcome, and Bowles usually goes the conservative route.
His conservative decisions have hurt the team on multiple occasions.
