I think we all knew this team wouldn't be great there are several teams in front of us and now the falcons too. I do think there are some things that could get better and we could see what we have there then but I think this is what you get this year and even better than that you don't see much on the top teams in the league. It's maybe a race now to draft choice but it's still a long year to go and divisional opponents are also bad too. Maybe if we get into the playoffs that is exciting but don't see much there. Hopefully wrong.
And yes I do see a difference. Our PPG down, our yards per game down, and we only scored 1 Td in the last 2 games.
If Brady was the QB of this team, they would have scored 30+ last game and 24+ this game. Plays are out there to be made all over the place, but the journeyman QB that has played on four teams over the last three seasons simply isn’t very good and struggles to find them. Shockingly enough, the offense isn’t scoring because of below average to poor QB play.
Now I don’t really expect a simpleton that still thinks Byron Leftwich is worth a damn to recognize any of that, but that’s where we are. You and the murse appear to be the only ones still pining for Leftwich’s sorry ass, as the dumbass duo have finally realized the error of their ways.
I don’t understand why fans had such high expectations for this team when the team is 100% in a money constrained rebuild.
as one example, our troubling o-line last year was not “rebuilt” as SR suggests in an article today. It was cobble together. Our RT went to LT, our G went to RT. We got a T off the street yo play the other G. We have the same back up C and our other addition is a rookie
Behind all of that is our backup/3rd down RB elevated to feature back.
we lost the only veteran we had at TE
Our 3rd receivers on are rookies
And the QB is a reclamation project.
ALL OF THAT AND A NEW SYSTEM
run by a … you guessed it … ROOKIE OC
they are OVERPERFORMING lol
Canales hasn't been good. He's been a C-
I'm underwhelmed... especially with his stubbornness running it.
But lefty was an F. Worst in the league... and that's why he can't find work.
Simple really
"our inside 3 are the worst in the Nfl by a wide margin". Bingo!!!! Now you're on to something. That's the main problem with our offense in a nutshell (This year and even more so last year). And until we fix that problem, it doesn't matter who the OC is, what scheme he uses or who's running the ball, it's not going to work. Football games are won down in the the trenches!!!! If our Olineman can't block their big men, any OC you bring in, is going to look like a midget. The NFL saw the same tape we did. He's awful.
This offense is better. And doing more with less...but it still isn't good.
Both Canales and lefty stubbornly want to run the ball for no reason... and our inside 3 are the worst in the NFL by a wide margin.
Goedeke and Wirfs are playing well.
Baker has been hit or miss but Canales has schemed people open here and there... and that's more than Lefty did.
But right now we are arguing about the tallest midget
^^^ I am always amazed by people who think the solution to the Bucs running problems is to bring in another running back.
And for all those hating on Rashad White send him to SF and let him run behind that Oline and watch what he could do.
Casual uninformed fans.^^^ I am always amazed by people who think the solution to the Bucs running problems is to bring in another running back.
Tom Brady won us that Super Bowl.
and we are paying for it this year, but how is thta even relvant. The Bucs were dominant for a decade around their last SB, even having a defense named after them.
There are something like a dozen NFL teams who have NEVER won a Super Bowl . . we've won TWICE . . both with the Glazers, incidentally.
It's relevant because some people seem to believe this roster is in better shape than it is. How is it relevant that this franchise won the SB several years ago? It's not, but you brought it up. I felt the need to remind you that one player made that team a SB contender, because it's a fact, and that the roster minus that player isn't remotely a contender and won't be for a very long time.
Malcolm Glazer was a good owner, he built his empire. He knew how to build things, his children do not. They know how to continue making money from what their father built. When it comes to the NFL that's not difficult, since you can lose basically endlessly and still make obscene profits. Something should be done about that but it'll never happen. The second SB, again, was Brady. All Brady. You don't seem to understand that without him this team is massively different and is objectively not a SB contender. You seem to be confused, is english your first language? I feel like something is being lost in translation. Or maybe you're just stupid.
Lets just assume you're correct "The second SB, again, was Brady. ALL Brady". Don't you have to give the Glazers credit for allowing Licht to sign him. Yes you do. Did you lose that in translation? or maybe you're just stupid. Then we mortgaged the farm, to try to run it back and it didn't work out. So we ended up in salary cap hell. The front office knew we needed to reload the talent on this team but had to shop from the bargain bin at Walmart to do it. Brady cost us 38 million in dead money this year alone. Sure could have fixed the OL with that change.Tom Brady won us that Super Bowl.

And it wasn't just Brady. It was also Gronk, AB, Wirf and a defense that shut down KC's offense.
Still can't believe anyone would stubbornly defend Leftwich. He's gone for good reason. He's not in the NFL for good reason.

agreed
and to defend him by essentially saying that his performance was better than Canales is over the top because the two situations are so dissimilar
Canales about to go through some things? :-)
The NFL stands for "Not for Long"
Bowles is brain dead. Jfc this is atrocious
Why in the world would he want to play zone against Ridder when Ridder has been having problems with man coverage all year? I would have thought we would have seen a lot more pressure on a rookie QB...
