Watched this game for the purpose of evaluating Pamphile, on every play, who filled in for Mankins. It didn't seem like Jacksonville had much of a DL, (you're only as good as your opposition allows).Pamphile did all that was expected. On 2 scoring plays from the 2 yd line, he pushed his man backwards about 1 to 2 yds. Pamphile had some blocks at the 2nd level that sprang Martin (123 yds, 2 TD).On pass pro, his man never once pressured Winston, and on most snaps, did not get past the L.O.S.Pamphile becomes relevant in regard to Sweezy. Opinions on Sweezy rank from high: Cable (Seattle) and Licht, to low: Walter Football and PPF. When Sweezy left Seattle many fans were glad to see him go because of his lack of Pass-Pro, and a common opinion was "It is seldom a player leaves in free agency and you already have a better player to take his place."Sweezy had an unknown "Procedure" done in the off-season. We assume he will heal OK, but it is reassuring to know that Pamphile seems capable playing Lt Guard, if things, for whatever reason, do not work out for Sweezy.
