Offense came around...was it a perfectly called game? of course not, but you cant run it 80% of the time..Baker had a poor game no two ways about it, but you have to get the ball in the hands of your playmakers. Defensive scheme is straight ASS! Yes there's injuries, but fundamentally it's not good.

Theres a weird thing with the way people look at coaches. The Bucs tuned the ball over 3 times in a half. Thats the PLAYERS making mistakes and bad choices that, in this game, totally killed the momentum for a while.
I think Coen got away from the run, but he got back to it and they pulled away.
Last week it was PITCHFORKS for suggesting the defense over performed and the offense UNDER performed.
Today, a defense that had to pull out an usher to play safety held the Raiders to 13 (they average about 19) and the Bucs offense FALTERED much of the game, turnigng the ball over multiple times.
Its not pretty but the defense did its part today and was very much like last year's defense in the bend don't break department, despite having multiple players out

We lost the turnover battle and won. We faced adversity and won by FIFTEEN! We were favored by what 6-7? Doubled the spread lol.
pass rush didn’t do much today. They had what, 4 or 5 sacks on baker? Plus the turnovers.

I think Bowles called it a "sign of maturity," meaning they didn't let the adversity in the middle of the game get to them.
I think this team goes NOWHERE if it gets to the playoffs because the defense is decimated and not that good anyway, but in terms of just getting there they took ANOTHER big step today precisely because they turned it around.

With Mike severely limited, and a giant hole where Godwin played, things have looked less than stellar.
Defense was not a culprit - but Kancey got away with the shove that knocked O’Connell out of the game - may have been the key.
Offense had to get better - got to get both the forward pass and get Jalen McMillan integrated - earlier. Even if we did get bogged down in the Q2 - we ran the ball effectively enough to get and then protect the lead, and keep Raiders offense off of the field.
Baker dealt with some pressure and gifted a couple turnovers to them - but their pressure package was pretty good. Still, that’s two games with too many turnovers.

For me as it pertains to the defense the play-calls are just baffling...again i get there's injuries but that play where you had Bowers on Vi down at the goal line was poor scheming. For me even when the defense had been relatively healthy early in the year it just looked off compared to prior years. These players have way too many "communication issues" especially given that most have been in this scheme for at least 3 years. Thankfully we have a good amount of the dead cap money going away and most of our roster under contract for next year so hopefully the purse strings loosen a bit and we can make some moves so solidify that side of the ball....and keeping Coen and his top 10 offense by any means necessary...Will always take an ugly win over a pretty loss

I was very happy with the defensive performance this week. Mayfield had too many turnovers that kept the Raider in the game for a while. Coen could have called more runs but the flow of the game with penalties disrupts run calls for most OCs. OL penalties two weeks in a row really takes away the Bucs strength which is running the ball.

The offense was pretty dynamic on the first two drives and Bucky did very little during them. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good player and the team is better with him.
I think the fall off after those first two drives was mainly from poor QB play and the OC getting too cute, not Bucky being sidelined. Coen has got to learn when it’s ok to keep pounding the rock.
