Figured that I would share the below link on NFL.com to watch the Bucs vs. Rams 2000 MNF thriller.
Brought me back to watching this team when I was growing up during the glory days. Surprised how much I enjoyed this replay.
Few things I noticed:
- Damn, Warrick Dunn would have been perfect in Gruden’s offense in 2002.
- Lynch was a force over the middle and in the box (back when you could actually hit)
- Sapp’s disruption throughout the game up front. You could feel him. Never be another one like him.
- Wow, Jaquez Green was terrible and a waste of a premium pick by us.
- Dave Moore. Love his coverage of the Bucs today but no wonder Gruden cut him days after his introductory presser. Awful. Fun fact: Alstott and Moore are good friends and attended Gruden’s presser if my memory serves me right.
Donnie Abraham does not get the proper respect he deserves. Truly a shut down corner back then.
- You can see why people were high on Shaun King but you can also see a couple Jameis-isms and why he eventually lost the job.
Anyways, enjoy.
