Overall, I think the depth chart beyond the 1's is going to change a lot. Too many penalties will force the depth chart to change. Too many mental errors. That will be fixed.
The 1's on offense looked sharp and on point. I didn't watch Cappa closely but I think he is going to be a competent RG if he stays on a consistent path. RoJo looks a lot better but I think he can do better once in a groove.
The 1's on defense looked competent and I think they could have shown more but it was satisfactory. However, there is room for improvement.
Noah Spence flashed his speed and that was fun.
Backup OL..not good. Boozer, LeRebius, etc..Bucs need to keep turning over rocks to find some depth at the OL. E. Smith and Watford are veterans the Bucs can lean on but they are what they are.
Tanner Hudson. WoW! Other than that one penalty he has been sensational tonight. It seems that he is outplaying Auclair and Leggett.
WR B. Mitchel going down was unfortunate because he was racking it up tonight. Schenll and Johnson look the part which is nice to see if the Bucs can sneak both onto the PS. But Schnell is making plays so that will be hard or it seems. Bobo Wilson has been ho hum on returns. This will be a battle for the entire pre season.
Ogunbowale is as advertised. Shifty and powerful and I think he sticks. Ellington looks the quickest though.
Gabbert is clearly the #2 QB as he has a command of the offense. RG4 looks like he is able to adjust to a new offense. RG4 has had a solid night but he can obviously improve his pocket awareness to avoid the rush.
Defensively, I like what I have seen form Wilkins, Stewart, Johnson, etc. But DMB has struggled tonight but he will learn that touching downfield is a big no no in the NFL. DBM will improve but he is not ready yet from what I have seen.
D. Harris has shown a lot tonight and has seen a lot of playing time. Probably a forgotten man but he is probably ahead of others tonight.
Minter has been solid tackling and making tackles on special teams. However, Bond did make a tackle that saved a TD with his hustle.
Gay has a powerful leg. Amazing. I wonder how the battle will progress for the rest of pre season.
Lefty's play calling was solid but it is obvious Arians is all over the play calling with arm band and chart in his hand lol.
Bowles probably has dialed up some good blitzes but he is going to be unhappy with some of the poor tackling and penalties.
Overall I think depth at OL is still a problem and I didn't seen enough from the backup OLB's. But the depth at TE, WR, and ILB is good.
RB is probably the most improved unit or it seems.
