I am a firm believer in order to be a successful organization for years you need to build the team through the draft and resign your own. The only problem in this situation is as a team Tampa is not close to the teams like the Pats, Steelers, Packers and so on who don't spend much in FA. The reason? they already have enough talent around both sides of the ball where they don't have to spend in FA. I look at this team today and the defense is exactly the same, I see media trying to say the scheme will fix all the players on D...sorry I can't go by that, I am not willing to bet on a simple scheme fix changing the whole success of this defense. Does JL really expect another great rookie class to come in and perform like last year? Rookies alone are not making this D play at a top level again. FA opens and we sign Doug, great but than we go out and spend almost 7 mill on an OG where I personally think we have on in Pamphile already. Reggie Nelson, 8 picks last year and wouldn't even be that expensive, not even getting a sniff from us. I see PR say, Conte is the top priority for them now. are you SERIOUS? Sorry, just had to vent, as I sit here today and see the same crap DE, CB's and S play, this defense is one draft away from being a top unit again...
