The author didn't even mention David, Quinn or Mathis, who honestly might be my top 3 for DPOY. Pathetic.
The final three games will obviously affect things, but right now when you look at all of David's numbers.....I think being #1 in TFL in the entire league cements him as the DPoY right now. For a 4-3 OLB to be leading the league in TFL and 2nd in interceptions (not just LBs but all defensive players including DEs and DBs) plus he has 6 sacks and 9 passes defensed and is 8th in solo tackles? How is there even a debate? Who else comes close to being that well rounded and that dominant in so many catagories?
Quinn and Mathis are up there in TFL as well and they are at the top for sacks. Plus, Mathis has 5 FF's and Quinn has 6. I think those two should definitely be competing with David for the award. The sad thing is that the moron author doesn't even have any of the 3 mentioned as even possibilities for the award LOL.The media would rather continue slobbering over Sherman and Kuechly while ignoring the guys who actually deserve it.
"The media would rather continue slobbering over Sherman and Kuechly while ignoring the guys who actually deserve it."Is there some particular reason they would rather do that, or is it just some random conspiracy they cooked up?

Von Mises back at it again. Not talking football and trying to put down other posters.Sherman and Kuechly are constantly mentioned by media outlets for DPOY, while guys like David, Quinn and Mathis are putting up better numbers, yet get minimal recognition. I don't know why they get attached to a few guys every year, but Kuechly is definitely their main guy for this season. Would you disagree with that, Illuminator?
I'm asking you to support your viewpoint with logic, as much as you may find that to be offensive. Have you got anything?
The media hates Tampa. Why? Iuno.

Because Sherman loves talking and that gives ESPN something to talk about. Kuechly gets hyped up because he was a top 10 draft pick, racks up a lot of tackles and the Panthers D is one of the best in the NFL so ESPN acts like it's him doing everything. Is that good enough for you?
Yes, much better. So, question: which of the following lead-ins gets the most clicks on ESPN. com?Richard Sherman says...Luke Kuechly says...LaVonte David says...Now change clicks to 'advertising revenue.' Mystery solved. Conspiracy evaporated.
