Imagine we sign Kaepernick at the end of camp, waiving Ryan Griffin.
Fitz starts, meanwhile Colin is in the building, working in practices, getting to know the system. Come week 4, we are 0-3 with Fitz, but Kaepernick looks great and picks up the offense.
Assuming Kaep looks as good as he did early in SF, would you play him over Jameis?
The spin would be that the Bucs can now rally around a new age pioneer for social justice instead of a crotch grabbing, crab stealing, loud mouth.
The team would play at a whole different level at that point in support of Colin.
And hell, why not sign Eric Reid at SS as well? The rules habe made those protests obsolete. Players will be in the locker room.
We need a spark. Could that be it?
