can anyone tell me?

What happened after we got the ball back in the fourth quarter. There may have been around 20 sec left we had the ball around the twenty. Doug Martin runs and gets 15 or so yards almost breaks it with around 8 seconds left Ithough we called timeout?? It was like the 8 sec just disappeared and then we were in ot. Announcers didn't really talk about it? Anyone know what happened there bec we could of at least thrown a hail Mary to the end zone at that point.
