Right now we would have the #4 pick in the draft. I know we need corner help but it's all DE or OT in the first two rounds for me. This is a tough one. We need pass rushers in the worst way. That said, JW will never blossom when he's getting hammered from the blind side time and time again. Smith HAS to be moved inside. There are some good tackles this year, but they all have question marks. Connor Williams from Texas is effective in pass pro and in the run game, but he's been injured all year. Torn meniscus I think. When healthy he's super athletic, but needs to get stronger. He's an option. Mike McGLinchey out of ND is also really good, but is rated lower than he was last year. I'm not sure why. Orlando Brown out of Oklahoma is gigantic and skilled, but raw. All three are top 15 picks for sure. I'm not sure if it's because they're good, or because there's a real dearth of quality OTs in this years draft.
On the other hand, I think there are some exceptional DEs in 2018. The twitchyest and most explosive by far is Arden Key. He's similar to Clowney and Garrett. He explodes off the ball and he's fast as shit. The only problem with him is that he's got off the field baggage. He also quit on his team for two games and then returned. No thanks. Landry is a beast rushing the passer, but a liability against the run. I love Chubb's all-around game and also Ferrell's. Austin Bryant and Sam Hubbard are also serious considerations.
Of all these players I prefer Chubb with the #4 pick. He's a senior, he's big, strong, and quick. Excellent against both the pass and the run. He can play inside and outside and has a relentless motor. He reminds me of a quicker, twitchyer DeMarcus Walker.
1st RD - DE Bradley Chubb - NC ST
2nd RD - DE Duke Ejiofor - Wake Forest (we're not going to find any OTs in the 2nd, but there are more DEs with tremendous upside. This kid is outstanding. I love the idea of 2 pass rushing bookends)
3rd RD - CB Iman Marshall - USC (I love his size and his coverage skills. There are other CBs that may be available: Kevin Tolliver LSU, Jaire Alexander UL, Adonis Alexander VT, Jordan Thomas OK, Carlton Davis AU)
