Hey everyone, been a buc fan and a member of this board for a long time and miss those glossy mag days. Haven’t posted at all throughout the 15 years I’ve followed this site. However, I decided it was time to start posting and see how this goes.
With that out the way since I’m new name... bottom line up front, draft is Thursday, and currently with this roster after we sign our draft picks we would currently be $-4,123,053 over the cap. Obviously we have time to sign the draft picks and do work on the cap, but here are names below I believe might be in the fray for restructuring...
Ryan Jenson is the #7 paid C (#38 overall OL)
Donovan Smith is the #7 paid LT (#14 overall OL)... actually more expensive than Trent Williams, but Trent wants a raise..
Ali Marpet is the #4 paid LG (#37 overall OL)
Gronk is the #5 paid TE and Cam Brate is #13 (OJ is #36)
William Gholsten is paid as the #18 3-4 DE
Shaq Barret is paid as the #6 3-4 OLB (#8 overall LB)
LaVonte David is paid as the #26 overall LB (I don’t think he will be touched, but just put it here for reference - also he is rated the #11 ILB)
Tom Brady is paid as the #15 overall QB (I don’t think he will be touched, but just put it here for reference)
Bradley Pinion is paid as the #9 punter
I’m by no means a cap guru and won’t pretend I know all the wizardry the front office can do converting salary into bonuses to reduce the overall cap figure per player. However, something has to be done obviously, and something will definitely be done at the TE position. What do you all see happening?
