Could this signal the Panthers are going to take Richardson at #1 and develop him behind Dalton?

The Panthers intend to trade Corral and the Falcons signed Heinicke. So, the NFC South QB picture is becoming clearer:

Saints: Carr/Winston

Falcons: Ridder/Heinicke

Panthers: Dalton/2023 rookie QB

Bucs: Trask/???

Update that to Trask/Mayfield and I'd put the Bucs about even with the rest, except the Saints.  Obviously Carr is above the rest, but he's no Aaron Rodgers.  It's too close to call for the rest of that bunch.    Sure the Panthers have the top pick, but any rookie QB is going to have growing pains.  For 2023 at least, the Bucs are in contention with the rest of the division when talking about the QB situation.

I agree.

Which is why fix the OL and I think the Bucs have the edge compared to the rest of the division.  Bucs should pour draft resources fixing the OL/DL and then the rest is easy to figure out IMO.

Mayfield had the benefit of Chubb/hunt combo

he has better WR with Tampa but the lack of run game is concerning to me that he will be able to replicate Cleveland numbers

I put Bucs QB situation in Atlanta and Carolina realm then I would saints. Carr is mediocre but easily best QB in division

If the Bucs are serious about a more balanced approach they will draft 2 OL and a RB.  I do not see a pass heavy approach working with Mayfield or Trask IMO.  Newly drafted RB + White + Vaughn is more than enough to form a competent run game.  Throw in the two drafted OL with the current OL crew and you have something going.  Jensen being back helps in that he can play center or guard.  I would prefer if Jensen moves over to guard so that way you can have Hainsey exclusively at center which is his best position long term.
