Carr wasn't a first rounder so the Raiders don't have the luxury of the 5th year option like the Bucs do with Jameis.
Carr is reportedly getting ~25m/year setting a new benchmark (for now). Jameis if he signs next offseason will likely get more, but maybe not much more since the 5th year option is in play. Jameis might have to wait until the following year to get his extension. If the Bucs wait though that number could end up more like 28m/year instead of 25m.
