The history between Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr and Bucs offensive coordinator Jeff Tedford dates back to Carr's childhood when Tedford coached his older brother, David. At the Senior Bowl on Monday, Carr said he would love to be drafted by Tampa Bay and to play for Tedford. https://www.pewterreport.com/index.php?option=com_k2&Itemid=20&view=item&layout=item&id=9598

Not really enamoured.  Would rather they draft Watkins for that speed in open space element, and go hard after a QB like Garappolo, who would really thrive (IMO), in a quick hit, one read system, (bubble screen, flare outs, etc...), and he has the accuracy to get the ball to his receivers to make plays after the catch.Garappolo working with Tedford, and Watkins/VJax/TD Mike/Dougernaut/RB group is pretty damned intriguing.

not saying you're wrong about Jimmy football, but Carr has proven already that he's mastered the exact play style you described

Yeah, but are you saying that Garappolo cannot do those things that Carr did?And further, it would mean the Bucs could be stupid and draft a wideout like Watkins, to add some speed-in-space to the plodding Bucs offense...I like Watkins, but I am not a fan of drafting a wideout early like that unless they are superstuds.  And I am not sure Watkins is that.  He is no Mega-anything, that is for sure, but Garappolo/Watkins/Jax/Williams/Dougernaut/Tedford sounds better than Carr/Williams/Vjax/Dougernaut/Tedford, IMO.

@nfldraftscout Carr isn't just the best QB here. He's the best player here. Absolutely looks the part of franchise QB. https://twitter.com/nfldraftscout/status/425732848130461696

Well if my godfather and personal QB coach was OC for an NFL team I would want to play for him too.

I wouldn't mind TBH... Almost all of the other positions can be addressed through FA..... QB cannot.

I feel myself being very open to taking him, seeing as he will probably climb into the top 10. Even if it means him sitting behind Glennon to work some of the mechanic out like Rodgers did. I'm finding more things I like about his game. He isn't perfect, but most of his weaknesses are things you can teach. If we go another route it better be Grap in the 2nd round. Considering where we pick if we want a QB to take a chance on, this may be our only chance considering we'll most likely be much better next year.
